I bring all my cats here. They get excellent care, but at a premium price. They can make you feel really guilty if you don't good care of your pets, but they do seem to care for the fuzzies. Boarding is available and their online pet portal is a neat way to manage health care concerns.
For those who like Japanese manga and anime, this is the place that you should check out. Even though the store is small, they have a variety of manga and anime collections that you can get. In addition, they also have other anime collectibles such as posters, dolls, key chains, pins and figurines. The store attendants are nice and friendly too. I only wish the price of those items were less expensive though.
I simply adore this store. There is such a strange collection of collectibles and just kitchy stuff. Merchandise is pile to the ceiling and there is stuff just everywhere. Some of the items here, just don't have any purpose.. Check out the china and glass wear in the back of the store. Parking is a nightmare and so is driving here. Right across from the train station. Prices are a little high, but cheaper than ordering online.
I went into this place to get a gag gift for a friend and was thoroughly shocked yet fairly amused at their variety of masks, chains, and other indescribable objects. Im not in the market for this kind of stuff but if you are, this place is probably the best alternative to the Internet in this area. Good selection of alternative club wear.
For bed and kitchen goods, the selection is unbeatable. Lots of things for all budgets. some really floor coverings. Bathroom stuff is very varied and unusual. I've seen them sell hammocks on the street outside. The shower curtain selections is pretty good too. Parking is poor in this neighborhood and is between two train stops. Easy to walk to and find.
Central Square doesnt seem like the place to find a great smelling bouquet but surprisingly, Central Square florist has just that. Right outside the Outbound T on Mass Ave, this florist has a decent collection of flowers at rock bottom prices. The sales staff doesnt seem to be too knowledgeable about the flora in the store but with the prices, I dont complain.
I almost missed this place a few times. Great place to find, cheap china that is durable. Similiar patterns to what you would find in chinese fast food places and other patterns that are just plain neat. A little dark and musty, but bearable for the bargains to be had.
What a great place to get clothes for small kids. Good materials that will last a few kids or hand-me-downs. Owner is very helpful and will track merchandise down. Good reputation and long standing store. Great toys and hand puppets to encourage young minds. Easy to get to by car and train.
I love walking through this place. Some of the furnishings have a great antique patina to them. Lots of great pieces, love the tansu and head boards. Most pieces are reasonably priced and comparable to other places that deal with asian antiques. The staff is very helpful and not high pressure sales. Tends to have a funky smell of old furniture.
Getting tired of the same old board games? Then it's time to take a trip to this store. They have so many games it will be difficult to choose. How about Boston monopoly? Or perhaps Simpson's or bo sox chess? You name it, they probably have it. There are a ton of games you've never even heard of, but the staff will help you find something to keep youngsters of any age entertained
