Many of my friends have had body work done here and have been very happy with it. I've fortunately never had an accident to need body work. If I did, I'd go here first. The mechanics are very skilled and courteous. They work well with insurance companies. Work gets done quickly. My sister had to have quite a bit of work done. She's a home health nurse and needs her vehicle. They were able to turn it around in only two days.
PROS: Quick, good work
I love this store. Lots of style, trendy clothes and accessories at very reasonable prices. A lot of stuff, but it's not all the same so you can find some unique pieces. The sales staff is great and they'll help you accessorize or put together an outfit for a special occassion. Most of their clothes are for women in their 30s and up. You won't find many things that a teenager likes here, but you can please about anything else. If you see something you like, grab it because it likely won't be there when you go back to get it.
This beauty shop is located inside Grand Court, a retirement home. I'm not sure if you have to be a resident to use it, but you might check before you go. I know several elderly ladies who have their hair done there and they've been quite pleased. Of course, their speciality is set and styles and I'm sure they do a lot of perms. It's not the place I would go for a long, spiral perm or for highlights. The staff is limited, so walk-ins usually aren't possible.
PROS: caters to older crowd
CONS: caters to older crowd
This is one of Morristown's oldest stores. It's a classic ladies dress shop with one-on-one sales assistance. If you're in the dressing room, they'll run sizes back and forth. They also offer some alterations. The best thing is that they don't have 20 dresses in the same style so you can get something different. You won't buy an outfit and wear it to work only to find out half the office has the same one! Parking is a problem since it's located downtown. Hours are also very limited. No evenings and closed on Saturday. The prices are high and sales are rare.
PROS: Personalized service, style
CONS: Price, Parking
From the outside, this store looks a little tacky. It's in a run-down shopping center in a not-so-great part of town. Once you're inside, though, you'll find a good selection of ladie's lingerie at decent prices. Choice ranges from scanty to subtly romantic. You can get skimpy teddies, or long white gowns with matching silk robes. The people are friendly and the store's pretty clean. It's by far the largest selection of lingere in Morristown.
This is a great consignment store. The biggest problem is that sometimes there's so much to choose from that the racks are packed a little too full. The merchandise is always clean and good quality. You won't find many items with things like broken zippers or broken buttons. Lots of the clothes I find there are classics and won't be out of style, but I also find a few trendy pieces at a fraction of what they would cost somewhere else. They have a good assortment of sizes, too. I haven't done any consigning with them, but they must be good on that end since they're able to keep such a supply.
PROS: Selection, Quality
This business is owned by Wendy Leedy, a well-known local artist. I don't know Ms. Leedy, but her work is amazing. She does oil paintings and pencil drawings. The work is very reasonably priced. She also has work by other artist. She has a large assortment of framing supplies and does a very professional job of framing. She also does work by commission at fairly reasonable rates. It's a long drive from anywhere, but it's worth it. The scenery's not bad and there's not much traffic, so you may find it relaxing.
PROS: Good artwork, good framing
CONS: the drive
Bartlett Place has a walk-in clinic, but there's no walk-in clinic atmosphere. The office even has a "well child" area and a "sick child" area. The PACs that work here are as knowledgable as MDs and the MDs are always there if you that's what you want to see. The best thing is that whoever you see actually takes the time to listen and evaluate your situation. They'll arrange for all the testing you need. The staff is very professional and friendly. You can make appointments on Saturday and as late as 6 p.m. If you're a regular patient, they'll even call in your prescriptions.
PROS: Great doctors, great hours
I have been to this doctor twice. A close family member who has a very serious, chronic illness uses this doctor as his family doctor. The doctor is very smart and well-versed on the latest medical care, but he's also very compassionate. The staff is great at handling insurance...they worked through some problems my family member had and even gave him samples when she was broke. One good thing about this office is that they don't overbook. They reserve some time everyday for sick patients, so if you're sick you can actually get in. Waiting time is kept at a minimum.
PROS: Smart, compassionate
can be found here. The selection is small but the staff is very helpful and don't mind taking the time to help with kitchen and bathroom designs. They can order special cabinets. The selection of lighting is really impressive. I haven't used their installation services, but a neighbor was very pleased with it. They are able to customize things if you're looking for something special. Quality of products is great. Prices are higher than Home Depot or Lowe's, but the service makes it worthwhile.
PROS: Quality, Service
CONS: Price, hours (close at 5 p.m.)
