A friend told me about Mimi's Kids and I'm so glad she did. They have such cute clothes! They are in Marysville near the library. The store is in a converted house. It smells clean and the clothes are in like new condition. The outfits I bought were in the $4 range. They also have things like toys, crib sets, swings, etc. They will let you "sell" your clothes to them for money or store credit.
I have had a storage unit at Bulldog for the last 1 1/2 year. They are a very secure location. You go through an electric gate, then punch a code to enter the building, then unlock your unit. You provide your own lock. The business is kept neat and tidy with nice landscaping around the office. They are located in Smokey Point, behind the Safeway.
I have used Goin' Postal twice to ship packages. Both times I have been the only customer in the store and have been able to get in and out quickly. I could park right in front of the door. They ship through UPS, FedEx, DHL, and the post office. They will tell you which one will be the cheapest. They will also pack your package for a fee. I learned that it's not just weight that matters, it's size too. I had a large stencil that weighed just ounces, but because it was large, it cost me $10 to ship! So, put your things in the smallest container possible to save money.
Unique Interiors recently put new carpet and laminate flooring down in my house. They did a fabulous job! The carpet selection in the store is great. They did a great job with installation. We had some tricky areas which took skill and they are done to perfection. I loved the selection of laminate flooring they had. I have dark wood cabinets and was able to find a laminate that complimented the cabinets while still lightening up the kitchen. The laminate floor butts up against a stone fireplace. They laid a row of tile between the two and had to cut the tile to meet the stones. It looks absolutely great and they found a grout to match the stone fireplace perfectly. I am very satisfied with their work.
Sunshine Cleaners has been in Arlington for a long time but has been under new ownership for the past few of them. They still do a great job of getting clothes clean and pressing them neatly. I like to take most of my clothes to a pre-pay dry cleaners in Everett because they're cheap but they don't take a lot of time to press the clothes neatly. Sunshine Cleaners costs about the same as most dry cleaners and they take the time to do the clothes "right". I recently had a baby blessing dress cleaned there. My daughter had had a "blow out" and their was a large stain on the dress. The cleaners were able to remove the stain from the white satin and it looks great. Now I can put it away for my daughter to dress her daughter in. I wouldn't have trusted such an important garment to a dry cleaning establishment I didn't trust.
I have been very happy with the care my animals have received at Northwest Veterinary Clinic. Their caring staff have been able to put my animals at ease. They even helped me when a pet chicken was injured! When my dog was put on a diet, they let me come in weekly to weigh her without charge. They have leashes hanging in the waiting room so if you forgot one at home, you can grab one and go to the car to get your dog. The doctors seem very knowledgeable.
Arlington Hardware is affiliated with Ace Hardware so all Ace sales are available here. Arlington Hardware has been in business over 100 years. It feels like an old time hardware store with the wood floor, big beams inside, and popcorn on Saturdays. Arlington Hardware might not have 100 different hammers like a big box hardware but I bet you can find the one you want. Even better, they have helpful employees who can help you find what you need. Ever try finding help in a big box store? You'll have no problem at Arlington Hardware! The first Saturday of every month is super Saturday with 10% off everything in the store.
I received a bouquet from Flowers by George during a recent hospital stay and I was so impressed with the looks of the bouquet and the quality of the flowers. They lasted a long time! You know it's a great bouquet when hospital staff who see such things all the time say things like, "Wow! That's the nicest bouquet I've ever seen!". Their prices are a bit expensive but the quality makes up for it. Their shop in Arlington also has espresso and "gift shop" type items.
Dr. Dykstra is a great dentist. When you first see him, especially for kids, you may be intimidated because he is a bear of a man. But his kind manner and gentleness will soon reasure you that you are in good hands. I have been very pleased with the dental work my kids have received. He's even humble enough that when my young son was just too scared to get a filling, he referred us to a pediatric dentist rather than press on. The office staff is friendly. The waiting room is stocked with a tv/vcr, lots of magazines, and a small table for kids to sit at and color. Each kid gets a treat from the prize drawer after a dental visit. I recommend Dr. Dykstra for anyone wanting a gentle dentist.
I used to suffer from terrible headaches almost every day. After coming to Arlington Family Chiropractic for a while, my headaches are gone. Doctor Shawn is in his 30's. He is very personable. His office staff is nice. I h ave been very pleased with the adjustments I've received. If you are a new patient and can wait, they often have a coupon in the value-pack mailer that comes in the mail for a free x-ray, 1st treatment, and massage. They also send you a coupon for a free adjustment on your birthday. You also can get a coupon for a free adjustment for referring someone. I highly recommend them.
