Family owned and a bunch of nice people. Always come very quickly when you call them for maintance. But often fix things by their own and sometimes they don't do a good job. One problem I had with them was they charged me over $100 from my deposit. They sent the genitors to clean my apt after "one month" since I moved out so I don't think it is fair. They offered me a good rent so I didn't go to the tanent union to file a compaint. But I really don't like the fact that they made such a bad impression at the last step.
They have a great interest rate for the checking account. The shortage is that they have only locations which is not on campus. So they don't have enough customers in compare to other banks. Yet, if you have a car, I would recommend you to bank with this bank. Or make this bank as your second bank and save your extra money with them.
I visited this store few days ago and was so surprised about the selection they had. It is a big store for sporting goods. They have a lot of famous brand. The price is fair. But annually they will have a big sale for winter. You can get Columbus, etc brand coat for more than 50% off which is awesome. But sure you need to shop earlier in order to get most of the selections.
Just like every small town or campus where you can always have one bookstore like this: opened by grandma and grandpa who have a good sense about books and who like to open this kind of second hand bookstore for their interests. Most books there are rare and in social science. Walk around inside is itself a lot of fun.
It is chosen as the best collision center in U-C. My experience is fair, but it does take them a lot of time to fix my car (2 weeks). Not sure if it is they have too many cars to fix, or it is normal to wait for 2 weeks. But for me, it is just too long. I had the other party paying car rental and fixing fees for me so I am satisfied. But I don't think their price is cheap.
It locates on campus and has lots of choice for rare and foreigner movies so it is good for professors and students. Yet if you are mainstream and Hollywood type, this store is definitely not your choice. The whole selection is not great, as the store is kind of small. But again, it is for alternatives other than Hollywood rental or Family Video.
It beats Hollywood and was chosen as the best video store in U-C. I don't really know why. But it does have a lot of options for both adults and children. The price is cheap. But for me it is very similar to Hollywood store. Family Video and Hollywood rental doesn't open next to each other so they have their own customers.
I got four bowls here and I love them so much. They are Japanese and $6 each which is not really expensive. I thought they would be more expensive than what we can get in big city such as Chicago. But the price is similar. The whole store is very nice. You can just go there to enjoy the products. Most stuff are not cheap though because they are well designed.
I don't really like this park. But it is UI's property and has a rich history so it is why the park is interesting. Before going to the park, it is better to read its history--a homosexual love story, very interesting. If you don't understand the history, the park itself may not be beautiful enough to see it. There are many statues, eastern style, western style, etc. Kind of mix together.
In Champaign there is an interesting situation: You will find a lot of "parks" on each corner. "Parks" is under quotation because many of them are not really parks. For instance, a sod on the corner of a parking lot, you may find a sign saying it is a park. And the sign itself may already takes 80% of the whole space.
