This place has been around forever! I remeber shopping for my first dance shoes back in the day and now I am taking my daughter here for her dance shoes! That is a telltale sign of a good business-longevity! The staff is exceptional in fitting shoes and helping to find the right products. The prices are comparable if not better than other stores in the area and their selection is top notch. I plan on making Lucy &Ethel's our dance shoe headquarters!
We have been to the Cultural center on MANY different occasions including our own wedding shower. The hall is enormous! Lots of room for big parites, but also a small room or two for smaller more intimate parties. The food is divine and the service is exceptional. We also recently attended my brother and sister in law's wedding reception at this establishment and I actually had more time to mingle. The waitresses were very nice and helpful. The price was right and the decor was perfect. Definitely somewhere that I would return to!
On many occasions, we have visited this gallery to look and on more than one occasion we have walked out after making a purchase, if not for ourselves, but as a gift for someone. What a beautiful place with so many unbelieveable works of art. The prices aren't too high and the service is impeccable. We always add this store onto our long list of places to visit when we walk downtown Rochester. It is right int he heart of Downtown and what a perfect place for such a gorgeous store!
Attention all quilters! Get to Crafty Lady! What a great store if you are into crafts of any type- especially quilting- they have more things than you would ever be able to use! And if you need help, take your project into the store and I will gurantee that you can find someone there that will help you out! The staff is extremely outgoing and quick to help and offer up ideas. I would spend days in the store if my husband and children would allow!
All Trails has been in business for years and I know why! Their office staff is beyond wonderful! I remember going to All Trails with my dad back when he had his campers. (He bought both from All Trails) and then my dad sent me a few times to pick things up for him. As I got older and got my own camping equipment, I would go there and the men there were always helpful and explained things for me. They have a large stock of things and if they don't have it they will order it with no problems. Their workmanship is great and their prices are very reasonable!
You could spend a day and a half at this store getting ideas on decorating techniques and supplies. I love going in just to look around. THe staff is friendly and very talented and more than willing to give you a helping hand. The prices are a little high, but they often times have a lot of sales going on. They carry only top of the line decorating supplies, paints and wall paperings, so I can see why theit prices are a little higher than everywhere else. I probably will never stop going. The store in pretty centrally located to Utica, Sterling Heights and Selby areas.
If you are craving a Bud Light or a Labatts, avoid Rochester Mills. But if what you are looking for is a one of a kind home brewed beer, check out the Mills because I can almost guarantee that you will love it. I will warn you that the place can get pretty noisy and jam packed on Friday and Saturday nights, so you amy want to go early. The beer is awesome and the food is outstanding! I almost always order the same thing (tortelinni with 1/2 red sauce and 1/2 alfredo) YUM! This is the perfect place to meet a group of friends after work because the appetizers are sensational and even a great place to take the kids in the evening for dinner. We have never had a bum meal or a bad time. They also have pool tables and live entertainment!
I went with a friend and had her tongue pierced at XS and at the time, I seriously contemplated a tattoo just because I was so very impressed with the establishment. We were taken care of from the minute we walked in the door. The piercing artist explained everything to my friend and went into great detail and made sure that she understood every possible thing that could happen. She took every precaution. The builing and rooms very very clean and sterlile, the woman wore gloves and cleaned up right before and right after the piercing. If I was ever going to do something like that, I would definitely go to XS.
Obviously one of the best things about a tattoo parlor is the fact that it is clean. This place takes the award for that! I was highly impressed when I walked in and everyting just smelled clean. There was not a doubt in my mind that this would be a great place to have a tattoo done. Then, I was waiting and waiting some more. I was very unimpressed with that. I am not sure if it was the lack of help, or if it was rude people, but after a long wait, I decided I didn't ave time to wait anymore. I may go back one of these days because I was very impressed with the art int he place, but I want to be taken care of, and not ignored, so I have to make that decision.
I would have to say that these pies are even better than my moms (don't tell her I said that) Seriously, though. WHen Achatz Pies was a small shop in Armada, we used to go on Sunday morning to get a pie. They have the best reputaion for the world's best pies. Everyone you mention the name to, knows who you are speaking of. Out of this world, melt in your mouth pies! My personal favorite has got to be Michigan 4 Berry or the Carmel Apple Nut one. THey are all good, but these two are the best. Walking into the store is like walking into a part of heaven. The smells are mouth watering. If you are in the mood for a good slice of pie, you know where to go. They are a little on the pricey side, but please don't let that stand in your way!
