Copy Shop
Kinkos charges way too much for their copies. You'll find the prices here are far cheaper and their machines are just as good. I personally prefer the smaller shop and will definitely go here instead of Kinkos for copying and faxing. They also have other services, so stop by here before going to one of the big chains.
Pacific Athletic Club
I've had the priviledge of visiting this place a couple times. It has to be the most luxurious athletic club. They have both indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a gym, basketball courts, pool, and awesome service. Although its a bit snobby there since everyone drives a BMW or Mercedes, normal people can go there as a visitor and enjoy the facilities for a decent price.
House Of Humor
They have everything. A huge selection of costumes and decorations. I love going to this place and finding random accessories and items to go with my homemade costume and even purchase an entire outfit once because it was just too good to pass up. They have every type of costume you could imagine, plus its a lot of fun to play around in the store.
Watchcare
I took my watch here to have links removed and a few weeks later the band had popped open. This was actually due to a bad pin that the manufacturer had put in, but they replaced it for free. Since then my band has been solid. They took extra time to make sure that they got the perfect fit and are very meticulous and careful which is important when working with small devices like a watch.
Gingiss Formal Wear
This is the place many of us went to for our Tuxedos for Prom. They have a decent selection although somewhat limited and nothing that was too fancy. I personally found that Selix is a better place to rent your Tux. Their prices are normal, but its prom who cares how much it costs, its worth it.
Zalles Racquet Sports
I've been going to Zalles since high school and have always found this place to do a great job re-stringing my racquets and they have demos that you can borrow and try out. The owner is really nice and they have a good selection of racquets, clothing, shoes and accessories.
A H Sam Florist & Greenhouses
Ah Sam is really the place to go for flowers. They have the best quality flowers you can find, but you do have to pay a little extra for it. However, I feel as though it makes a huge difference and they have the widest selection you'll find in the area.
Serra Bowl
I like Serra bowl. Their facilities are generally clean for a bowling alley and they do a good job maintaining their lanes. They also have good specials during different days of the week that can make bowling a fun cheap outing.
Club Nautico
Some friends and I chartered a boat here and they were extremely helpful getting the boat ready for a day of sailing. My friend also took his lessons here and can often be found out in the bay sailing. They have great boats and the prices are decent.
Cafe Borrone
We used to hang out here all the time. They have a variety of coffee drinks and great snacks to go with them. If you're a student, this is a great place to hang out as there are often many Stanford students around.
