Dans Restaurant is located on the corner of 11th and Penn, just a few short blocks from the entertainment centers in the center of Reading. It is the perfect place to dine before a concert or play. The restaurant is elegent with a simple but superb menu. They boast an excellent wine list. The dining room is tiny, seating only about 40. Reservations are a must.
Shady Maple is known in the Berks/Lancaster area as the place to go for a buffet meal. The breakfasts include all the favorites plus an omlette and waffle station. Dinners are excellent too. I am a big fan of Tuesday's seafood night. You can dine on everything from fried fish to seafood newburg. I especially love the great salad bar and fresh baked breads.
PROS: Seafood night
CONS: long wait
While many people go to Fiores for the great pizza, I love all of their italian specialities. Their veal is superb, especially the veal piccatta. The have all of the typical italian food plus a few of the more unusual. They have a terrific children's menu. It is a very comfortable restaurant for familes.
PROS: good food, great for families
C & C Pizza has the typical pizza joint fare. Their round and thick pizzas are as good as any other pizza place I know. The one thing that sets them apart from the others is the homebaked sandwich rolls they use for everything from hoagies to cheesesteaks. The rolls are made from the same dough used for the pizzas, and they are baked at the same high heat. The best I have eaten.
PROS: Sandwich rolls
The Jefferson drive-in has been the sandwich/breakfast shop in the Bernville area since the 50's. The new owners have honored the tradition, changing very little about the local favorites. We are saddened to see the Jeff cheesesteak is missing from the menu, but they have added many great italian meals to make up for the loss. Only downside -- no more soft serve ice cream.
Judy's on Cherry is one of the nicest restaurants in a small city. The food is outstanding and quite unique. They have an excellent selection of appetiz ers and their desserts are out of this world. The only downside to this amazing restaurant is the lack of parking is a city that is not very safe.
My family has been going to see Dr. Roseberry for about 12 years. I love this practice. He is an excellent dentist, and I believe he truly cares about his patients. The only downside to this practice are the hours. Evening hours are scheduled four to six months in advance, and they are no Friday or Saturday hours.
My husband and I began our fertility journey at another practice where we wasted precious time and funds while not achieving our goal of pregnancy. After some research, we opted to switch physicians. We chose Dr. Pelligrini at the Womens clinic. His care was outstanding, and the supporting staff in the fertility center are very caring individuals. Two children later, I will continue to recommend this practice to anyone struggling with fertility issues.
I began going to the staff at the Childen's clinic in January of 2002 after the birth of my first child. I am thrilled with the office in every way. The nursing staff is amazing. The office staff is courteous and polite. We rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes for a visit. We see Dr. Cordes 90% of the time, and I wouldn't trade him for anything. This is an excellent facility.
My son is currently attending this preschool, and all I can say is that they love him as much as we do. The staff is superb, extrememly devoted. The children are actively learning. The curriculum is strong. I am amazed at how much he has learned in just a few short months. I would recommend to anyone with small children.
PROS: Best staff
