When our 1-year anniversary came up, I knew I had to do something special, and what could be more special than a diamond necklace? Actually, coming into this jewelry store made me realize that I knew absolutely nothing about diamonds, whether clarity or carat. The friendly jeweler kindly told me more than enough about diamonds and how different qualities can vary the cost significantly, and also helped me pick out an appropriate diamond necklace for the occassion. Apparently, the store maintains only high quality diamonds that are more expensive, but they are aesthetically more pleasing. Leaving the store gave me a feeling of satisfaction, but I have yet to present it, so we'll see.
I took my girlfriend shopping at this store, which was one of many on melrose. In fact, I found that this was a distinct clothing store that specializes in asian casual wear. The prices were very reasonable, and talking to the store clerk revealed a very varied selection the back. If you are looking for a unique and oriental look, this is the place to go. You will definitely look asian when you put their apparel. I don't know if this store has its own designer, but it appears to be a family owned store that makes some of the clothing on sale.
I tutor here on occasion because I am currently pursuing a side teaching degree. Everytime I come here, I always see teachers that are on a different level than most public school teachers. They appear to care more about student acheivement and development than public school teachers do, and the teacher that I work with uses a very distinct grading system that grades on development and improvement rather than a general comparison to the rest of the class. I think all schools should follow suit in the sense that not all students develop as quickly or in the same way, and we must never generalize. I definitely recommend this school, although it may be a bit expensive.
The reason why I stopped here was not because I needed a used car, but because I saw a porshe on sale. Usually, you don't find high-end cars at these lots, but I had to see how much it was selling for. Talking to an agent revealed that it was a very reasonable price (under $30,000), and more importantly, it was in great condition! I genuinely considered buying it to have a porsche, but ultimately the lack of need overweighed my desire. An analysis of the other cars in the lot showed that there are some great deals going on here, and if they are in the same condition as the used porsche, then there are no lemons.
My sister had recently gotten into a car accident, and I took her to see this UCLA alumni. He specialized in general practice law, but told us everything we needed to know. He recommended my sister to a chiropractor, and because she had been rear-ended he said he would take care of all the paper and legal work. In fact, he called me periodically to tell me how everything was going. I rarely had to lift a finger, and the only thing I needed to do was come to meet with the other party for settlement. A nice check for my sister accompanied that meeting, and only a small commision was paid. I was very happy.
I recently bought sunglasses from this optometry because a friend of my sisters works here. I found their selection to be top quality, including brands from prada, calvin klein, guess, and much more. Although the glasses were a bit pricey, I was pleased with what I ended up with - they had glasses over $1000! Overall, the associate who ended up helping me was very helpful in telling me which looked good and what didn't, etc. Price aside, this place has everything you need when looking for sunglasses.
I came here because of the NCAA March madness fever, and I needed more UCLA wear without the high cost that would accompany buying it at the UCLA student store. I found all that and much more at the store, including shoes, a variety of hats, and other collegiate sports wear. I was able to buy UCLA sweatshirts for my parents, and more clothing than I imagined. Great selection, great variety, and great quality clothing - all for a great price. Great place!
Because I could not be there to pick my parents up from the airport, I enlisted the help of the Ca Hanmi Limo services in order to pick my parents up, to give them the luxury they would get if I was there. I heard that the chaffeur was polite from the very beginning, and promptly helped my parents carry their luggage to the limo. He even asked them if they were hungry after their flight, and upon a positive response, recommended restaurants in the area. All of this was done for no extra charges, and I definitely recommend this place.
I listen to a lot of music on my laptop, and because I have a roomate, I sometimes use headphones. Overuse has caused my laptop to have a malfuncting headphone receptor, which basically means that it sometimes doesn't recognize when headphones are in/out. I took my laptop here to get it repaired, and it was repaired in a timely, reasonably priced, fashion. I can't really say there was anything special about the service I received or the price I received. Overall, it was satisfactory.
Taking an art GE class brought me to this 'Most Angels and Other Beings' store which sold art supplies and other accessories. I found a variety of paint brushes, paint, and canvases. From oil to acrylic, to even specialized crayons, they had it all. I bought sketch pads, graphite, and much more. I have so many things now that I am definitely considering a career in art. Because of lack of comparison, I can't really say that the prices here are cheap, but they seemed reasonable to me. 4 star store.
