Morris Diner is not a fancy place. It is a comfortable place. You can take your kids here and enjoy. The food is good and the waitresses are friendly. The Owners make a point of walking around and talking with the customers. My daughter loves going there. Everyone knows her by name. She use to go there for "coffee" with her Grandma and grandma's friends. The pricing is very reasonable and you dessert comes with your meal!
Dr. Johnson was doctor I chose when referred to me by my nurse. I was told he was the Number 1 Doctor in the area. For skill this may be true. What I found from my experience was a doctor who said I was an over concerned mother. When I couldn't get results from him I took my child else where. We found out she had a very serious condition. The New Doctor immediately ran test after the first visit and corrected the problem. i hate to think what might have happen if I had been convienced I was " just overly concerned". He has a terrible bed side manner and poor listening skills.
CONS: Doesn't Listen to Concerns
I recently had bilateral carpal tunnel surgeory. Dr. Ortinau performed the surgeory. He was very professional, but did not so any emotional caring. I had my right hand done first. I had extreme pain and swelling. I felt he did not have the time to listen to me. After the surgeory the only person I saw was his Physicans Assistant. Any issues I brought to her attention were made light of. I have not fully recovered from this prcedure which was done in October. Since my fingers no longer go numb I am hoping the surgeory was successful. As for recommending Dr. Ortinau I would suggest seeking out someone with a caring attitude. Treat patients as people not just a number.
PROS: First Class Facility
CONS: Care is not very personal.
We have carried our insurance with State Farm for more than 15 yrs. The pricing is comparable with other insurance companies. We have never filed an auto claim, but we have filed a home owners claim, they were fast, friendly and efficient. It's nice to have an agent right here in town where you can talk with a real person, face to face.
PROS: Very Efficient
CONS: None that I know of
This facility does most of it's business to the local citizenry. While seeming to recognize the current needs of the areas skills market, all too often the prerequisites over emphasize basic educational skiils rather than real world skills. Case in point... for an entry level programming class there's too much emphasis for math. While it may be a benefit, it's still not a required background to learn programming.
JJC fails to acknowledge the life skills one picks up in the workplace, therefore alienating many potential students that are not fresh out of high school. They also fail to offer adequate credit for skills learned outside of academia. It seems obvious that by placing typical requirements for their programs, they have a way of preventing creativity with program methodologies, and forces most potential students to have an educational background that's inside the proverbial box. Rather than keeping the focus on "Learning" it appears to demand students play their education game their way just to keep the dough rolling in.
Reading, writing and arithmetic are what they seem to do best.
PROS: For locals it's fairly cheap.
CONS: Less than creative program opportunities; slow to use new delivery modes.
A couple of years ago I replaced the tires on my car, after calling around and checking on prices I decided on Steve's Tire and Service Center. Upon arriving they realized they did not have my tires instock. They located my tires in another store, sent someone over to get them and had my tires on the same day. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The pricing was very reasonable. They sell good quality tires for a good price. I highly recomend this business.
PROS: Good prices, Great Customer Service.
CONS: Waiting area could be cleaner.
The best think about this shop is its location. it is right down town and located close to home. The draw back is the shop is small, crowed and not well organized. It reminds me of a thrift shop for books. The prices are very reasonable if you don't mind a rummage sale. I would recommend this shop if you have leisure time to browse.
CONS: Very Crowded
This store has a little bit of everything. It is nice to look at all the old antiques at your leisure. Occasionaly you will run across a deal, but as the name states Antique Emporium, they ask what it is worth. I love to go there and look around, but unless you are an antique buff the prices are high.
PROS: Alot of Antiques to Look At
CONS: The Pricing is High
Two years ago we decided to add a cat to our family. We Found and adopted Buttercup fromthis shelter. The folks there are very friendly, gave us time to spend with the cats they had there and Buttercup pick us out. The fees are reasonable and you are saving an animals life.
PROS: Friendly Staff
CONS: A bit smelly
My daughter loves this shop. They have a good variety of candy, ice cream cones. There is a small seating section located in the back of the shop, with traditional malt shop tables. Very neat place to take young children. As expected the cost is a little high. A good place for an occassional treat.
PROS: Neat Little Shop
