Aero Hobbies has a big collection of everything from planes, trains, to automobile models. They have been around for awhile and have good customer service. They will actually order stuff for your models if they don't have it in stock. The prices are moderately high because it isn't a chain store. I buy stuff from them all the time and am satisfied with their service.
I've been going to Hair Cafe International for a year now. The staff is well trained and will consult with you before cutting to ensure the right style is for you. They do the usual coloring, highlights, perms, etc. The prices are moderate, but if you want a good cut you will pay the price for it.
Allan's Aquarium and Pet Center is located in Santa Monica. It's a tiny shop but has lots of supplies inside the store to choose from to take care of your fishes. They have a wide assortment of salt and freshwater fishes. The prices are average. The staff is helpful in choosing the right food and supplies.
Shotokan is located right in the heart of Playa del Rey in a small shopping plaza. The yoga classes are taught by the utmost professional instructors who teach you how to relax and meditate while concentrating on the different yoga positions. The classes are relatively small and attention goes to each individual.
Marina Fitness is a great place to goto to exercise and relieve stress. I've been going here for a year now and am impressed by their services. The equipment are all fairly new and clean. There is hardly a waiting line for usage. People who go here are pretty professional and won't harass you. I'd recommend this place since the fees are pretty low also.
We've been going to Caffe Pinguini for years now. The owner is usually onsite and cares about his customers. The food is awesome and the handmade bread is really good. It's baked fresh out of the oven. The pastas are delicious and the steaks are out of this world. The prices surprisingly are very reasonable for an italian restaurant located 1/4 block from the beach. The atmosphere is nice with the little lights placed everywhere. They also have outside dining with heat lamps.
Mo's is a local hangout for the people who live in near the jungle in Playa del Rey. Monday night is the best night to go since Mo dresses up in funny costumes each time. He's been doing this for years. The food is average and moderately priced. They offer nachos, burgers, etc.. They also have a bar fully stocked and 3 tv screens to watch games on. It's a fun place to hang out.
Shanhai Reds is located at the end of the pier in Marina del Rey. They serve American food despite the name of Shanghai Reds. Our company holds our meetings there every quarter. They also have a fully stocked bar. The meals are quite expensive but the decoration is very romantic. They also offer valet parking.
The Venice Flower market has been around town for a long time. The flowers are very fresh and beautifully arranged. The prices are moderate. They do deliver for about $10 more than the price of the arrangement. I've used them for years and am very happy with their customer service and different flowers they have.
The La Marina Inn is located 1/4 block from the beach. The parking lot is ample. The food there is american, steak, chicken, lamb, fish, etc. The place also has a separate bar for drinks. The prices are reasonable. Lots of weddings and parties are held here for the ambience. I would recommend this place for banquets.
