Car-Mart of Batesville

For anyone with less then perfect credit that needs a car. They work with you on the down payment(have a lay-a-way plan) They will take in anything for a trade, and have great specials through out the year. I love thier "Hard Working days", where for every year you have worked, you get money off the down payment. I also like thier "Customer appreciation days, with free BBQ's and prizes for loyal customers.

Arby's

If you don't mind paying a litle more, but getting what you pay for, I would HIGHLY recommened this place to eat. They have succulent Roast beef, curly fries(to die for), and even turnovers for desert. They have healthy & low carb foods, so even those dieting and watching thier weight, can come eat and enjoy.

Kroger

Not only do they have the best meat and produce in town, but they will double coupons up to .60. They have great customer service as well. They actually help you find the products, not just point like some stores.

Dean Baker Westside Grocery

This is a discount grocery store. I have gotten many great deals, but you do need to watch your dates(some things 3 years past due). They do get damaged packages in, but most of it is close or is expired. Buyer beware and learn to read.

PROS: Does take Food stamps
CONS: In the bad part of town

University of Arkansas Community College At Batesville

No filler classes needed. You can take the classes you need, to either start a career or further yourself in your chosen field. The staff helps you get financial aid, if you need it. The teachers help in all ways possible. Non-confusing campus lay out.

Shang Hai Chinese Restaurant

This has the best buffet in town, but you can also order off the menu. The buffet is the best deal for your money. They have something for everyone. Chinese food for those that love it and even american foods, such as; catfish, fries, crawfish, peel&eat shrimp, chicken nuggets and always several deserts including soft-serve ice cream!!! Never walk away hungry and Large glasses of all you can drink as well. They even have carry-outs and you can even get chop sticks and tea for the full effect!

El Acapulco Mexican Restaurant

Wether you like it hot & spicy or cool & breezie, this is the Mexiacan place you need to check out. Free home-made tortilla chips and a mild salsa when you walk in the door, nice large drinks, and a menu to please anyone; including the little ones. There is always plenty of food, great variety and even an al a carte menu so you can have everything you want!!

It would be hard to say anything bad about this place. They have down home cooking, buffets, specials and super friendly service. They make foods like Mom used to make!!

Hardee's

They have good food, but if I wanted to spend $25 for 2 peoples dinner, I would prefer NOT to go to a fast food place. You do NOT walk away hungry and I usually end up bring home a doggie bag. I love thier hand dipped shakes, they are truely the best!

McDonald's

If you go during daylight hours, there is always great service, hot food, and a smile to greet you. Go in at night, and my orders are usually wrong, cold or missing. The staff is generally ruder the later at night you go as well. I like that they have 2 drive-thru lanes and that its open 24 hours.
