Irving Bible Church
I have always wondered what the building adjacent to the irving bible church was and one day i just walked in. I found out that the building is also a part of the Irving Bible church. There is a play area for kids, various classes conducted, has support groups for women and single parents and also has a cafe in there. It is a good place that provides sense of community and support.
Mac Cleaners
One of my cousin's was in town and needed a fast dry cleaning service. The only place that was willing to do it was this cleaners. We dropped off his clothes at 5.30 in the evening and the cleaners had them ready for us the next day at 7.30 a.m as promised. Although we had to pay a premium beacuse of the time factor,they really came through for us at crunch time and did a good job. I would definitely recommend them.
Bongs Master Tailor
BII Tailor is located in the Vista Ridge mall. During one of my trips, I needed a skirt altered and BII tailors said they could do it for me. I went around the mall for a while and then came back in a few hours and my skirt was ready. They charged me a little more than some other tailors that i go to but for that day convenience was more important and i was satisfied with their service.
Hackberry Cleaners
I needed to dry clean a few throw pillow cases and thought i'd check to see how much it costs to dry clean. There was only one person at hackberry cleaners the day i went in and she din't know what it cost. She said she would check her book and made us wait and finally told us it would cost 6$ per case. Considering that their charges are on the higher side, we haven't gone back to Hackberry cleaners in a while.
Aries Travel
I have used them to book my travel reservations to india for the last couple of years and i have always recieved good customer service. The only disadvantage is they usually charge extra if bookings are made using a credit card . All said and done, personal attention and professional service is the reason i like Aries tours and travels.
Lawson Travel
Lawson Travels and tours is a full service travel agency. They offer competitive prices for international travel and have special packages for travel within India. I recently booked my travel to India through them and had a very good experience. They were prompt in returning my calls and found me a good deal on my very specific travel dates.I was very staisfied with their customer service and would recommend them for your travel needs especially to India.
Bharath Bazaar
This is the place to go to if you need exotic spices. You can buy them in bulk and it dosen't cost much at all compared to other places that sell spices. if you like Indian food,you can also buy frozen foodstuff/prepared Indian food here. You can also rent Indian movies at this place. They have weekly specials on these rentals which make it an even better deal.I recommend Bharath Bazaar.
Affordable Photo Lab
Immigration photos and photos for applying for a tourist visa for various countries have every specific requirements. Affordable photos do a good job in taking pictures that fit the precise specifications. This place is run by a husband-wife team. It is a no frills kind of a place but they know their job well. They only accept cash or checks. This is where i go for all my passport/visa phostos and i highly recommend them.
B&H Commercial services
B&H services is the local company that installed our Directv system. The setup was very quick and professional. When we changed apartments, it was hassle-free to move the service as they sent someone to set up the service in the new place. We have not had any problems and are satisfied with their service.
Las Colinas Medical Ctr
I have had to visit the las Colinas emergency room in the middle of the night a couple of times due to some gastro-intestinal problems. Although the proper attention has been given it has not been very prompt. I would rate the experience both times as satisfactory but not great.
