Dolce Nail Spa
My wife always has a smile after going to this place - the manicures, pedicures and massages provided by this place are excellent. They do professional work at a resonable price. They are also pretty good for waxing taking care to do a thorough and thanfully accurate job. This place is definitely highly recommended because they really ensure that their customers leave happy and satisfied.
Dramatics Nyc
Dramatics NYC is really a nice hair salon. I have gone here on and off for the last year and my hair really is so much better than ever. I usually stick to my stylist Yuki - excellent and she takes her time to make sure she does a great and thorough cut. However, all the people there are friendly from the welcome desk to the people who was your hair. Their prices are reasonable by New York City standards and it really is a place to visit if you are looking to keep up your hair with a reasonable budget.
Astor Wines & Spirits
Astor Wines and Spirits is really a nice Manhattan wine store - the wine selection is really significant in terms of varying regions and prices. The staff is very nice and a good discussion on wines. Overall, I would definitely go there irrelevant of the wine I was in the market for. However, for spirits there are definitely better places - being a Manhattan store I do not believe it has the room, literally, to be all things for everyone in wines and spirits.
Century 21 Department Store
I have really had little luck at Century 21 finding amazing designer clothes at great prices. I just do not think the store is anything great. You may get lucky looking through so many clothes as long as you do not mind battling crowds and with the fact that you do not if anything fits you until you get back to your home. Overall, I think it is a waste of effort and time but on the other hand I know some people have gotten lucky and found great deals so I can not be a total negative on this
Strand Book Store Inc
Strand book store is truly a wonderful place to shop for books - you really never know what you are going to find there from amazing editions of books to just the people you are going to see. Strand is an ideal place to find used books at great prices - the selection is really excellent. Strand is really one reason that village is excellent - go there and then to a coffee shop and your day is just made. Overall, I would recommend Strand to anyone because it really is a New York landmark to visit.
Beacons Closet
Beacon's Closet is just a place you have to see to understand - prices for the vintage clothing are reasonable but it is the truly amazing atmosphere that makes it distinct. The music, the attitude and the funkiness of the clothing selection are just something to behold even if you are not really looking for anything specific, you will see something to purchase. Even guys can find decent clothes at good prices - my wife always does very well there, which makes sense as the woman's clothing section is much larger. If you are looking for cash to sell your clothing, this may not be the place as they don't take too much and do not pay out a lot - you are way better with clothing credit if you are going to but stuff there anyway.
Fao Schwarz
You do not go to FAO without expecting crowds and high prices but you know you will have a blast with the amazing items they have including the always large teddy bears/other animals. This is really such a great place to have a good time being a kid or taking your kids. Overall, a must see whether you are a tourist or a New York native. Have fun and splurge a little bit because that is the wonderful experience of going there
Murrays Cheese
Murray's Cheese Shop is definately a great place to go to try many cheeses that you can not just get anywhere. It is a village staple because it lives up to its reputation. If you have not been there yet, go out and grab a sample as they will treat you right. I have had nothing but good experinces there and cannot say enough positive things.
American Museum Of Natural
The Museum of Natural History is truly a treasure of New York City. I have been there many times since childhood and never become tired of the all within it from the amazing collections of stones and minerals to the amazing rebuilt fossilized dinosaurs that tower above. Whether you have a child or not, this is a Museum to visit and learn.
Metropolitan Museum Gift Shop
The Met Museum is a fantastic and while the attached shop may seem like a waste of money, I would truly recommend making the visit as the store contains excellent reproductions, postcards and posters of the amazing collection as well as the special exhibits that you may never be able to view ago; it is the place where you can truly buy an excellent reminder of the experience
