The quality of pictures I've gotten from here are amazing; the employees really work hard to make sure you get a great picture...but the prices are enough to make you cringe. Benefits: you get great pictures the same day they're taken (if the printer isn't broken!) but since they don't take appointments, sometimes you end up waiting in long lines...and the prices, whoo!
I've always been really impressed with JCPenney. They almost always have some sort of sale going on, and the salespeople there are really helpful and friendly. I'm actually getting ready to get my engagement ring there! How fun!
This is so much cheaper, and way more fun than renting a DVD! This place is great! Granted, nothing is super nice or fancy...so if that's what you're looking for, don't go here. But if you're looking for movies that JUST came out of regular theaters, and don't mind crowds and an old theater, this is the place to be.
I started seeing Stacia because a friend recommended her. She was very helpful and understanding when I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to get done. I got all over color with highlights, and was complemented on my hair many times!! I've gone in a few times since to get my hair trimmed, and highlights touched up. She's very reasonably priced (I think the most I've paid so far is $80) and I'm looking forward to getting my hair done by her again soon.
My boyfriend and I have gone to Johnny B's probably 10 times to see different comedians and hypnotists. It's always been really fun! Sign up to be on their mailing list, and they'll let you know what events are coming up, and will send you buy one get one free coupons. You'll also get those coupons at every show...so it's hard to not keep going back!
Last winter, I went out to my car and had a flat tire. I was devastated, and had no idea what to do. When I called my dad, he said to call Les Schwab because he has always had good experiences with them. I called them, but had to leave to get to work. When I came back, they had temporarily re-inflated my tire (they let me know I would need to come in and get new ones) for free! They wouldn't let me pay them at all! And their prices were very reasonable for 2 new tires, rotation, balancing, etc. Great experience!!
I went here a lot to get my oil changed because they usually had a good deal for students. I was always in and out within 15 minutes. What I was most impressed with, though, is when I went there before I left on a road trip. I asked if they could check my oil, and asked what I should do if I needed more oil on my trip. And they just game a quart to keep in my car!! Super nice guys, really helpful. And they didn't make me feel stupid for being a girl and asking car questions!!
10 years ago, I was involved in an accident where my 3 front teeth got knocked out. 2 years ago I decided to get porcelin veneers put on my front four teeth by Dr. Matthews (the oldest one, I forget his name). The work was fine, he was very nice...but it was over $4000 for what was done. I was told at that time that if anything were to happen to my veneers in the next year, I could get them replaced for free.
Alas, a few months later one of my teeth BROKE OFF. I was honestly traumatized. When I called the office, they said my dentist wouldn't be in for a few days. I explained my situation, and finally they were like "Well okay, I guess his son can help you." All he did was superglue this tooth back on...it fell off about 10 more times before Dr. Matthews "fixed it".
The new veneer did not match the others, and I was completely unsatisfied. On top of that, I was told I would need to pay $800 for this new one. I reminded them they had told me this would be free, and they foudnd something I had signed saying it would be half-off. I was too upset to deal with it, and angrily paid the $400.
The biggest problem I have with all of this is that just this summer I was talking with a specialist who said my roots had been resorbing, and those teeth would need to be removed. REMOVED. Had Dr. Matthews bothered to look at the roots of my teeth, I could have put that $4000 toward the extraction surgery I just had.
Don't go to the Matthews Dental Group. They're only out for the money, and not interested in helping you.
Why is it that you have to be hassled everytime you go inside a bank? If I'm going to deposit money, I don't need to know about your direct deposit options, your cash-back checking card, or your interest-free credit card. I understand that in retail businesses, you're forced to ask these questions...but why in a bank? You already have my business; I'm not going to leave unless I get bugged too much by you. I just don't like dealing with it, and that's why I do most my banking online or with the ATM.
Not only are the employees super helpful and nice, Home Depot's return policy is unmatched. I had (stupidly) purchased a pendant light not realizing I needed the track lighting setup to use it. I had unwrapped everything, even screwed in the lightbulb, when I realized I couldn't use this light. Then I realized I had lost my receipt!! I was so scared I wouldn't be able to return this thing I didn't need. So I printed out my bank statement, proving that I had spent that money on that day at their store. It was completely unnecessary. They didn't even ask any questions, just gave me cash back. I was so impressed and relieved. It was great!
