The Clothes Horse is a small store located on Breckenridge Lane that has a nice selection of clothes for women, men, and children. All the clothes are used, but almost looked new. The prices were very reasonable. I found a great coat that cost almost nothing. The employees are nice and helpful. One woman went out of her way to help me find a certain size for my husband. The store is bright and nicely decorated with some beautiful photographs.
I use to have to fight to get my kids to go to the dentist, but they love this place. All the people who work here are so much fun. The dentist will joke and dance, and have my kids laughing all day. There are a nice selection of toys for the kids to play with and cartoons playing on the television in the waiting room. The place is always bright and clean. There are parking spaces close to the office.
I needed to find cupcakes for my son's birthday party at his daycare, and went to Sweets & Such Bakery on Dixie Highway. The employees were so nice and helpful. The cupcakes were decorated nicely and tasted great. The price was lower then I had paid at other local bakeries. They even gave me some cookies, at no charge, to take to the party. The store smells great. There are parking spaces close to the entrance of the store.
The Dress Barn has a nice selection of clothes. During the colder months this place has a lot of sweaters for sell. I like going to this place to buy clothes for work. The prices can be a little high on some of their items. You may be able to find some bargains in the back of the store where some of the clothes have been marked down. The dressing rooms are kept locked, so you will need to flag down an employee when ready to try on clothes. The employees basically leave you alone unless you ask for help. The only thing I dislike about this store is the name. There had to be a better name then Dress Barn, which reminds me of cows and horses. I don't think anyone would want to be compared to a cow.
The Overlook restaurant is located in Leavenworth, Indiana. I live in Louisville, Kentucky, but enjoy driving to this place for special occasions. We usually go to this place on Mother's day, and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. You can make reservations, but be prepared to wait for your table even with reservations. They do not have the full menu on holidays. The food is very good, and the prices are low. I usually get the fried chicken which comes with two sides and a salad. They will bring a plate of biscuits with your meal. The biscuits are delicious. The hostess is an older woman who can be a little mean to people at times, but the waitresses are always pleasant.
I love to eat at Stone Hearth Restaurant on Sundays when they have a buffet. Their fried chicken is so good. All the food served at this place tastes delicious. The restaurant has a nice and comfortable interior. This is a fairly large restaurant, but still has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Weekends can be very crowded, so make a reservation. There are plenty of parking spaces close to the restaurant. Prices are reasonable. The employees are nice. This place is worth the drive if you live in Louisville.
Cindy's Florist is a great little store that has a nice selection of flowers. The woman that worked in the store was so friendly and helpful. I went in the store one day when I needed to pick up some flowers for a sick friend. This woman put together a beautiful flower arrangement that my friend just loved. The flowers were fresh and beautiful. They had a nice selection of get-well cards to choose from as well. The price of the flower arrangement was less then I expected.
The Ranch House is located in a red brick shopping center in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. It is a medium size restaurant that is decorated in pink and blue colors. This place is supposed to look like a restaurant from the 1950s with a jukebox playing songs from that same era. They serve hamburgers, chicken tenders, fish and many other items. The food is okay, but nothing to brag about. I thought the prices were high. The place was pretty crowded when I was there on a Friday night.
I have taken my dad to this barber shop on a few occasions, but do not really like the place. This place is located in an unattractive area of town. The people who work in this barber shop are unfriendly and quiet. They seem more interested in watching the one television in the shop then cutting a customer's hair. One barber is so slow cutting hair, you have to wonder if this is the first time he has cut hair. The place does not look very clean. There are only a few parking spaces located in front of the shop. Prices are low.
My Dad refuses to go to a beauty salon, so I must take him to a barber shop when he needs a hair cut. This is a nice place with friendly people. The prices are very low compare to what you would pay a professional hairstylist. I have only seen men getting their hair cut here, but I suppose they would cut women's hair as well. The shop is well lit and clean. Parking is never a problem. My Dad has never had to wait long to get his hair cut at this place.
