This store offers many options for those wanting to sew. My wife took a beginning smocking class and loved it! She has since taken other classes. The owner is very friendly and talented, and the store is organized. The hours represent the fact that the owner is at the store most of the time herself. There are not a lot of employees and she does close a couple of days early. But, she is there a lot of nights with classes. Good place to learn how to sew or become more experienced. Can also buy handsewn items.
Buckelews offers quality clothes for men. The salespeople are knowledgeable and helpful, and they do not try to sell you more than you came in for. They will ask if you need anything else, but nothing any pushier. The clothes are top quality, made to last. The service and quality is worth paying extra for. Good place to go for classic men's clothing.
These ladies are wonderful!!! They are good at fitting clothes, and everything I have ever had altered has been done perfectly. Each time I go in, they are friendly and helpful. Also, they are very propt. Once I need something within the week, and it was ready 30 hours later. Can work with you and you will be very pleased with the result!!!
Southern Lighting is a good store. They are very helpful and have a huge selection of all light fixtures. There are many books you can look through in making your selection, and the employees are good at directing you to the proper fixtures in your price range to match your home. Good service, much better than Lowe's.
The selection at Kinnucans is just amazing! They have tons of shoes, bikes, gifts, clothes, jackets, just everything! Wide selection of brands as well. The service is good, and they often have coupons or other savings. I would be hesitant to buy anything full price, as their prices are steep. But, the employees are helpful and knowledgeable, giving you something extra. Definently go here for a large purchase to make sure you get what you want.
This is a very nice Christian Bookstore. It is located off of Opelika Road, next to the mall. It is convenient for both Auburn and Opelika. The selection is good. There are lots of music options, Bibles, group type books, fiction books, private study books, church supplies, cards and gifts, etc. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable about what they carry. Also, they are willing to special order anything. Great place!
This park is just great! There is tons of equipment for all age children, plus there are lots of tables and places for parents to sit and watch. The park has a good bit of green space for frisbee or whatever. Not too far from campus or Opelika, and there is usually plenty of parking.
For the size of Auburn, their library is very nice. The facilities are great, and they do have a lot of new books. Do not have many new DVDs. Their computers are fast and there is usually one available. There are quite a few study tables, and it is generally quiet. The librarians are helpful, and the parking is plentiful. Nice place to visit.
This is an okay bowling alley, but it allows smoking and smells really bad. Plus, it is old and not very clean. But, they do not have competition so why invest in a new place? The prices are fine, and they do sponsor various community groups (like Project Uplift) occassionally. Since it is the only bowling option, go if you must but it could surely stand to be remodeled.
This pharmacy is a reasonable place to get a prescription filled on campus. It does take Tiger Card, and the pharmacists and students seem to be competant. The hours are not as good as most pharmacies, and the parking can be a hassle. You can get a pass inside, but when you are sick who wants to go inside, back out to your car, then in to wait? Plus, one time my pass ran out since they were taking so long and I still got a ticket. Just a hassle to contest the ticket, but I didn't have to pay it. Overall, this is a good place if you live close to campus or can have someone drop you off, but not the greatest option if you are really sick.
