We love this place and use it often! It's affordable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and best of all, you leave the mess there! What's not to love! We have a Malamute that we take there, often when he's 'blowing' his coat. Furballs everywhere. Here we can bathe him and get all that excess fur off in preperation for his next coat. The prices are very reasonable and now I see they have advertised where you drop your dog there and they do the work for you! How great is that? I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. It's so great to have a place like this available. Especially for those that have large breed dogs and don't have the space or bathing tubs that work so great with them!
We have taken our Malamute there numerous times in the past. They are always sweet and gentle in their approach to him. My mother in law has also taken her dog there as well. The deal well with tempermental dogs as my mother in laws dog was one. The prices are reasonable and the time to get an appointment never was too long. They even have boarding which is a plus! We plan on taking our pets there in the future as well!
I have had my hair cut there for few years up until recently. They are a very nice salon with something for everyone. Pretty much the only reason I stopped was I couldn't really justify paying $50 for a haircut. The front desk staff was always curteous and helpful. Timing to get in and get a haircut was always reasonable. I'm cheap but I think that their prices and services offered are in the midrange for day spas.
I've used Sears Potrait for my kids in the past. They have a new(er) studio on Briarwood Mall so it's much less congested in there than before. One thing that I do like about Sears vs. JCP is that at Sears you get 2 5x7's on a sheet versus the 1 and some wallets and mini's at JC Penney. Their sitting fees are a bit more I belive but they also have a portrait club you can join. I've been very happy with holiday portraits we've had done there in the past as well.
I have used JCP Portraits in the past for my kids and most of the time have been very happy with the results. They have a portrait club you can join and get free 8x10 with your photo shoot as well as no sitting fees. Not bad at all. Like another person said they will get SWAMPED during peak hours so during the holidays and special portrait time you're better off making a reservation.
I used to go to this office when I was growing up and tried it once we moved back and I had had my own children. They are a sister and brother team who are very nice and attentive people. My really only complaint was the wait time in the waiting room/exam rooms sometimes gets painfully long. The office and desk staff is very helpful and personable. Just long wait times. Maybe things have changed as of recently. If so it would be a great family practice office!
We went here with my 18 month old and my 4 year old. It was an ok place. It needs a little updating as it seems stuck in the 80's. They have a few bounce house type things for the kids to jump around on/in. They have a trampoline that the children can get harnessed into and bounce around (this costed above what our entry cost was). They have a video game area as well as an indoor pool/play area and an outdoor pool/slide area. We didn't use the outside as it wasn't warm enough to use. They also have a very large gym for basketball and whatnot. Also they offer a 9 hole mini golf.
You can also purchase food there. It's not to expensive either. All in all it's an ok place to visit. I think we'll give it another try when our kids are older and they can go off and have a little more fun. It's definately geared towards the say 6 and up crowd. If you want to do the whole fun day there entry will run you about $17 a person but that includes unlimited use of ticketed attractions, water park, one round of glow mini golf & one game of remote control racing. Not too shabby.
This is a great club located downtown Ann Arbor MI. Parking can be tricky but there is a pretty good sized parking lot (that's used for the Ann Arbor public library) behind the club.) It's located actually in a basement of a vegetarian restaurant called Seva. They have great headliners, folks you'd see on HBO, Comedy Central, Jay Leno and David Letterman for example. Prices are very reasonable for ticket shows as most are under 10-15 dollars. The place is somewhat cozy but that means there really isn't a bad seat in the place. They have drinks and souveniers and few munchies such as popcorn and spicy snack mix. A great evening out. Check out their website and you can get coupons for shows as well. Also another bonus is their 8 pm Friday night shows are smoke-free.
This is such a wonderful hands on museum. We went there in the summer of 2003 and my kids had a blast there. There are stories of fun for kids of all ages. A huge hit was of course the giant bubble maker. They even have a great area for children 2 and under to play around in. We definately will make a return visit if we ever make it back to Missouri. The rates were reasonable as well! It's a DEFINATE must see if you make it to St Louis.
