I was not happy with my experience at The Beach Club. The beds are nice and always clean but the owner is a very hard person to deal with. He is obsessed with everyone being on time and gets very upset if you are late for an appointment. If you are even 2 minutes late, he takes that off of your tanning time and shuts your bed off from the front desk, even if you have already paid for a month of unlimited visits. He also expects you to be able to dress and undress extremely quickly, I did not even have time to put the tanning lotion that he sold me for fifty dollars before he turned the bed on from the front desk. Three minutes after the bed shut off he was knocking on my door telling me to hurry up and get dressed because someone was waiting. I was hurrying but I needed time to put on my clothing, five minutes would have been enough but he wouldn't even give me that. I have tanned at many different establishments but have never encountered someone so obsessed with cramming in as many people in as short an amount of time as him. Go somewhere else.
They have a drive-thru which is very handy for picking up prescriptions when you don't want to get a sick child (or yourself for that matter) out of the warm car to go into the pharmacy to get medicine. They will even go and get over the counter medicines for you if you ask them to. Walgreen's won't do that. They carry a good selection of over the counter medicines and alot of the old-fashioned items that I can't find anywhere else. The pharmacist is great, she seems to pay attention to the individual patient and picked up a dosing error on the doctors prescription once. They also carry Burt's Bees items.
I really enjoy shopping at Mey's Fashions. They are a small shop but have a large selection of stylish women's and juniors clothing for going out, cute shoes, some eveningwear, and also some 'business attire'. Their prices are VERY LOW and their staff is helpful and friendly. When I am looking for a cute outfit to wear on a 'girl's night out' this is the first place I go.
This is a great place to go for infant's and children's clothing and baby equipment. There is a huge selection without alot of junk to wade through like in so many other consignment shops. The prices are great, even for brand name stuff in excellent condition. The owner is a very nice lady, and if you tell her that you are looking for something in particular (clothes in a certain size or a certain brand of baby swing, etc) and give her your phone number she will call you when she get's it in and hold it until you can get there to look at it. She even let me put a crib on 'lay-away' until I got paid.
I have had an account with First Community Bank for a little over two years. I have always been satisfied with the service and the fees are not as high as some other banks in the area. I have found a few errors on their part but they always corrected them quickly and with minimal hassle. The tellers and managers are always courteous and helpful. There are several branches in Warrensburg and Knob Noster so that is quite convenient.
This is the U-haul rental place that is located on DD Highway were there are storage untits and I think a martial arts school. The owner of this business is a scam artist in my opinion. I called two days before renting the U-haul truck and was quoted a certain price. When I returned the U-haul he tried to tack on over $200 in extra fees. I told him I would pay him the quoted price and he said that he would not accept any less than the full amount so I left. He then started calling and harrassing me and my family threatening to call the sheriff's department and have us arrested. I told him to take me to court, I did not sign anything saying I would pay the extra amount he was demanding. It has been 2 years and I still haven't gotten any subpoenas so I guess he was not prepared to take his scam that far. If you do business with him, get everything in writing and be sure to keep copies of everything you sign. Do not let him intimidate you or force you to pay more than you agreed to. Or better yet, just rent your U-haul somewhere else.
I went with a friend of mine to adopt two kittens from Warrensburg Animal Shelter. They had alot of kittens to choose from at that time, probably 20-30. All of them looked pretty healthy and well fed. She offer discounts on spaying and neutering and discounts for adopting multiple animals at one time. The place is a little out of the way and hard to find but if you call first the staff is very helpful and will give you good directions.
My grandson sees Dr. Segal for his ears also. I like him well enough, I think the level of care is pretty good but Dr. Segal does seem sort of rushed during appointments. He decides the best course of action (surgery, wait and see, antibiotics, etc.) and doesn't seem to appreciate it when parents and caretakers question him about it or ask for other options. The receptionist usually will get you in for a quick apointment if your child is ill, or call in medicine to try for a day or two first. The staff is friendly and they let the child pick out a little trinket from the 'treasure chest' after each visit.
I am always able to be seen quickly, often the same day. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes, and they have alot of newer magazines to read in the waiting room. The doctors are nice and don't rush through my appointments. They have called in my prescriptions for me on sevevral occasions when I couldn't make it in for an appointment before the refills ran out.
