Excellant fresh sushi. Great selection of rolls. The servers are especially nice. Very family friendly. One of the better places we found in the area. Right off the downtown.

Little Home Thai Cuisine

The food here is mediocre at best and terrible at worst. Among other things, we ordered pad thai noodles that we disgusting and I do mean disgusting. They were overcooked with a runny sauce on them. To be fair, we had them in this establishment prior, and while they were mediocre previously, this time they were terrible. When we complained to management, they claimed this is what pad thai noodles were and they are always like this. To make matters worse, they acted as though we were just trying to get a free entree out of our complaint...an entree that was too bad to eat.

Recchiuti Confections Store

This is a new found delight for me and I have to say this is the best chocolate I have eaten. That's saying a lot since I am quite a fan of fine chocolates. The carmels are a must, and the jasmine tea chocolate is orgasmic.

Good Vibrations

Good Vibrations is a great store for all your sex toy, erotica, condoms, etc. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable. The store is clean and spacious. They have a great selection of higher quality items for all orientations. They also offer classes.

Hannah's Children's Resale

Hannahs is a tiny store on Solano in Berkeley. They have a nice selection of previously worn clothes and with all stores of this type, it's hit or miss on finding what you need.

PROS: Good selection
CONS: Small store

Nurture Center

The nurture center has a little bit of everything for new parents and has a lot of hard to find accessories/equipment for those who are especially "attachment" oriented. Great selection of carriers/slings. Great selection of nursing clothes/bras/aids. Helpful staff. Cute toys. Can be a little pricey, but fair for the market. Check their website first, they will honor the prices on there if they are lower.

Thai Garden Restaurant

This somewhat out of the way restaurant (for most people in the bay area) has some delicious thai food. Their seafood entrees are fresh, their curries are delicious, their lamb and duck are cooked perfectly. This is one of the best thai restaurants I've eaten at in the bay area and the only reason I can think of to visit Hayward.

PROS: Scruptious Thai Food
CONS: Not the best area

Shan Dong Restaurant

Great little "hole in the wall" restaurant in Oakland's China Town. Great fresh-cut noodles. You have to ask for them and they are a dollar extra but totally worth it.

CONS: Hard to find parking

Casa Orozco

The food at Casa Orozco is excellant. Before I started going there I was not a fan on Mexican restaurants. This restaurant changed my view on that. I love the shrimp enchalatas and the carne asada. Their refried beans are heavenly. Definately a great place to go, family friendly, but beware of the wait during weekend evenings.

CONS: Can have long waits during prime time

Dublin Toyota & Scion

I found this particular Toyota dealership to be very dishonest. I was taking my Toyota there for oil changes for a couple of years because they changed the oil quickly. Then, every time I went in, they were telling something major was wrong with my car. On several occations, I then took my car to another mechanic who I trusted and he said, there was nothing wrong with the car.

Also, when we were recently looking to buy a car, we test drove at this dealership. It was a horrible experience and when we tried to leave without buying a car, the sales associate tried to guilt us by saying "he would be fired if we didn't buy the car!" Unbelievably bad experence.

PROS: Convenient
CONS: Dishonest
