Both of my daughters attended this preschool/daycare for three years. All three of us enjoyed the experience. The preschool is small and they keep the kids very active during the morning with activities. The kids almost always go outside for excercise and fresh air. The school is easy to find, right on M 113 in Hannah and a convenient 10 minute drive from Kingsley. The teachers were always happy to see the kids and really seemed to take an interest in their development. Their hours are limited and they take only potty trained children but if you are looking for a daycare or preschool I would reccomend checking this one out.
PROS: kind staff, nice facility
CONS: no diapers
Love this farm market! The growing fields are right next door and the market is always chock full of just ripe fruit! It's not a bad drive from Traverse City but I always feel like I'm in the country when I shop there. Homey atmosphere and lush fruit smells fill this market! The raspberries are the best I've tasted. Located on a main street from TC it's easy to find and paking is ample. The produce seems competitively priced for a more gourmet farm market. I would definitely reccomend a trip.
This market offers items that can not be found many other places. Organic and natural foods abound and the deli is wonderful. At times the service can be lacking and the employees apathetic, but on the whole it is a good shopping experience. They are a little hidden in Traverse City and sometimes I wonder if they like being a little exclusive. They are worth finding and I reccomend you give them a try.
PROS: selection of organics
CONS: service location
This market is convenient but the prices are a little steeper than the larger grocery chains. The selection isn't bad and their produce looks fresh and good. I feel the convenience sometimes makes the higher prices worth it. First impressions of the store are cleanliness and helfpullness. It's spacious and well lit. The bathroom is always clean and stocked. Right on the corner of US 31 and US 37, it's easy to get into and there is plenty of parking. The deli offers some really tasty ready to eat food and I'd recomend it for a lunch on the go.
PROS: Convenient easy to get in and out of
Walking into Burritt?s you instantly have the feel of a gourmet shop. The dcor is centered around unusual bottles of sauce or marinades and other delicacies. This meat market offers many specialty and special order meats. Customer service is always good, they are will to ice pack your purchases for longer trips and are extremely knowldgable about their products. Located on Front Street, they can be a little difficult to get in and out of, but parking is ample and they are worth the effort. While prices are significantly higher than the ?big supermarkets?, their fish always seem firmer and fresher and they usually have a wider selection of meat cuts and seafood. Offering special order items separates them from many groceries in the area.
I found this dancewear boutique when my daughter started at Dance Arts Academy. My first impression was "Wow are they pricey!" but in looking around I found they offering hard to find dance wear and accessories and you won't find a better selection in Traverse City. While their prices are higher, they do run specials often and you can't beat the selection! I would reccomend this shop because they are knowledgable about their products and can fit your child properly with the correct shoes and equipment for a safer dancing experience with fewer injuries. They are also conveniently located in the outlet mall.
PROS: selection location
Offering classes for 3 year olds up to adult, this dance academy is the best in Traverse City. My daughter loves the hip hop class and can't wait each year for their dance camp in the summer. The instructors are very kid friendly and seem knowledgable. Located in the outlet mall, parking is more than ample and the location is super easy to get in and out of. The interior is fairly new and nicely decorated but the public areas are small and often extremely crowded with parents. There is often no one at the reception desk or answering the phone, so customer service seems lacking. Prices are slightly higher than other dance studios in the area, but the instructors seem more knowledgeable and concerned with proper techniques and safety issues. They also offer a better range of classes than other studios in town. We have been taking classes for 6 years and will definitely continue.
PROS: Variety of classes Location
This little boutique is so charming!! Fun cute dcor, carrying brands like Storybook Heirlooms, they offer the best in Children's clothing. They also offer some accessories and outerwear. Prices are higher, expected at an upscale boutique. Located in downtown Traverse City, the parking is severely limited and at times you will have to walk blocks to shop. The sales clerks seem very disinterested in customers a lot of the time. Being a small boutique the selection is somewhat limited, but they do offer brands and items you won?t find anywhere else locally. It?s a fun place to splurge on a special occasion.
PROS: unusual offerings
This comfortable office is one you should check out if you are having ENT problems. They have brand new offices located on a corner easy to access and with plenty of parking. It is not difficult to get an appointment and are wonderful at answering questions and providing help. Surgery is scheduled quickly and they are willing to work with insurance companies. I took my daughter to them for adenoid surgery and everything moved along quickly and easily. They answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable and safe with their office. Their follow-up was caring and thorough. The physician's assistants are very knowledgeable and usually available to answer any question.
If you are looking for an allergist, this is the doctor you want! Dr McClellan make allergy testing a breeze and is caring and funny at the same time. Allergy shots go quickly and smoothly with his efficient nursing staff. Comfortable waiting rooms. Located on the west end of Front Street, getting in and out of the office can be a trial at drive times. The parking lot is slightly small for all of the come and go traffic. The service and friendliness of the staff make up for these inconveniences and I would reccomend trying this office.
PROS: quick service
