Multnomah Falls Lodge in Troutdale Oregon is a great place to stop and refresh yourself if you are touring the Columbia River Gorge. It is a beautiful rustic stone building with overnight accomadations, a gift shop, and restaurant. Parking is abundant and there are clean restrooms. It sits right next to breath taking Multnomah Falls.
The Nike Factory Store in Cabazon is a great place to get good deals on shoes and apparel. It is merchandised really nicely for a factory store and very easy to find things. The prices are definitely not cheap, but still a good discount for Nike product.
Ding's Chinese Food in Yucaipa is a great place to grab a cheap Chinese meal. The food is good; I really like their almond chicken. You get a lot of food for the money, and the owners are almost always working and very pleasant. The dining room is clean, but not too comfortable and not much to look at. The parking is hard during lunch time and after school as it is really close to Yucaipa High and very popular. If you go when it's busy it can be hard to find a place to sit.
Tony's Spunky Steer has the best steak in Redlands for the best price. Their quality is always consistant. My favorite there is the bacon wrapped fillet, which is a bacon wrapped filet mignon. It is delicious and always cooked to perfection. The restaurant is usually VERY busy and is very popular. When you go be prepared to have to wait up to an hour for a table.
Jose's Mexican Food in Redlands has good Mexican food and is a nice place to go out with a group of friends. The dining room is nice and wait staff wears Mexican garb. Their burritos are huge. I like to get my burritos served "wet" for a small extra charge. This includes the burritos being covered in sauce and cheese. It's really yummy. They also have fresh chips and salsa which are delicous. The prices are very decent for the amount of food that you get. This location is in the Walmart parking lot, which can be very busy at times.
Hogi Yogi is nice place to stop in for lunch, but I feel they are really pretty much the same as a Subway or other sandwhich shop. Their yogurt is actually really good. You pick your "mix-ins" then they crush them up and mix them all through your yogurt. The prices are kind of high for not that fabulous food.
Mi Tortilla in Riverside has great, fresh Mexican food. They have a very small menu, but everything they make is really good. The portions are huge. I got the kid's taco meal and it filled me up. My husband had the fajitas. They were served on a super sizzling hot plate. They were great and again the portions were huge. The dining area is adequate. The prices are moderate, but you do get a lot of food for your money. Unlike a taco shop they do serve beer.
The Royale in Calimesa is a great place for dining with a group that can't decide on one type of cuisine. They have a HUGE menu with a bit of everything under the sun! Their prices are amazing; super inexpensive. All meals include soup or salad to start and dessert. I love the mexican selections. Especially the chicken quesadilla which has chicken, onions, and bell pepper- YUM! The dining room is nice and clean and wait staff is friendly and accomodating.
Sammy's Woodfired Pizza is a great place to stop in for really yummy pizza. This is seriously my favorite pizza place. They have a super wide variety of toppings and pizzas to choose from. My favorite is the goat cheese with roasted pine nuts. This location is right in the heart of the Gaslamp, which makes for a fun dining experience. The service is always great. Parking is a going to cost extra as it is downtown. Since it is located right next to Horton Plaza, it is very easy to use their parking lot.
Tillamook County Creamery is a great place to stop if you are driving up the Oregon coast. Inside you will get to tour the factory where Tillamook makes their famous cheese. It is a self-guided tour and best of all FREE! You get to watch the various stages of cheese making, from the begining mixing of ingredients, to the packaging at the end. Even better, you get to taste free samples at the end! Be sure to purchase a Tillamook ice cream cone from the ice cream shop on the bottom floor.
