Bennetts Creek Pharmacy is a nice, classy little pharmacy. Although the store is small, it still provides everything from cold medicine to little trinkets. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. I believe the store is owned by Virginia Delegate, Chris Jones. The pharmacy has a drive thru which is a bit of a pain to get to since you have to drive behind the entire Food Lion shopping center, but still, if its raining, or you just dont feel like getting out of your car, its a nice plus. The pharmacy sometimes doesnt fill things quite that fast, but it still nonetheless is a nice little home town type store. Overall I would recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a charming little store with a great staff in a somewhat great location.
PROS: Clean, Nice Staff
I was out shopping for some fall flowers and stopped into Smithfield Gardens. The store itself is old and could use some fixing up. Its not the Home Depot or Lowes, but the interior could still use some work. The grounds were filled with many different plants however there were many weeds throughout the grounds as well as dead plants. They are beautiful grounds; however, they look as though theyve been neglected the past few weeks. The staff was somewhat friendly. They helped when called upon but didnt offer any assistance. The pricing of the plants was high and in my opinion over priced. As I said, this isnt the Home Depot or Lowes, but even so, the prices shouldnt be over the top like they were. Overall I enjoyed my visit to Smithfield Gardens and although I wouldnt go out of my way to go there, if I am ever in the neighborhood I will be sure to stop by to pick up some plants.
PROS: Pretty, nice staff
CONS: Neglected grounds
Recently I was looking for a place to buy some new comic books for my nephew. I came across Paradox Comics while in North Arlington, New Jersey. The store itself was small, which was not necessarily a bad thing, however, the store was dirty and the lighting was horrible. I wasnt helped at all by the staff and was made to feel unwelcome. The store had a funny smell to it and when I made my purchase the worker stuff the books into a bag and handed it to me, not saying a word. Parking was not an easy task and I had to drive around for a few minutes looking for a spot since they have no parking lot. I would highly recommend you look for a different place before shopping here.
CONS: Dirty, Smelly, Gross
This past weekend I had the experience of shopping at this Beckys Hallmark store. When I walked in I was not noticed by the staff, nor greeted in any way. The store was cluttered and although it was well lit, in some areas it was very dark. The staff was on the clumsy side and I got back the wrong change after purchasing three cards. Although the store had a sale rack, most of the products on it were damaged and in poor condition. For a card store this ranked as average and was not a memorable or enjoyable experience. For the amount I paid for the card, it would have been worth it to go to Wal-Mart and get six cards instead of the three I got there.
Overall I wouldnt drive out of my way to go to this store, but if youre there its not too bad. Just be sure to count your change!
PROS: Store smelled good
CONS: Count your change before leaving!
