I have used this dry cleaning service several times. They always seem to do a great job. They are able to get out a lot of stains and always have the clothes ready when they say they will. The prices are reasonable and they have good business hours. The parking lot is a bit small but it has never really been a problem for us.
Dr. Summers has a very nice office. It is clean and makes you feel at home. He and his office staff are very friendly and helpful. They are also very gentle and help to make you feel at ease. They seem to take a variety of insurances and it wasn't too difficult to schedule an appointment.
This is nothing like some of the larger outlet malls my wife has made me go to. It is much smaller and not nearly as crowded. There is plenty of parking. Some of the outlet stores that are there are GAP, Paper Factory, a Kitchen Store, BASS, Ralph Lauren, a Big Dogs Store, and a bedding/ linens store. There are others, but these are the ones we shop most often. If you are making a trip and are looking for a certain store, I would suggest calling ahead since I have seen stores come and go in this outlet. Overall, the place is clean. The prices are much better than retail. It seems to be a safe area. This place is worth stopping in if you are looking to spend some time browsing.
The Farmhouse Antique Mall has a lot to choose from. It is located in Lake Park which is a short drive from Valdosta, but it is worth the trip. Going to this place is like going on a treasure hunt- you never know exactly what you will find. Along with antiques they also have some items that are more what I would consider crafts. This is a nice place to stop in and browse for unique gifts. There are kots of friendly employees willing to help you find what you are looking for and give you a little "history" on the items. There is plenty of parking and it is located in what I would consider a safe area.
My son was born at this hospital. My wife was induced. The induction started late for unknown reasons. The nurses we dealt with were okay. We were left with a student nurse many times for long periods of time. When my wife wanted pain medicine the nurse was hard to find. When she wanted an epidural again our "real" nurse was no where to be found. When she returned "after her break" she said my wife could not have an epidural because she "thought" she was too far along and went to get another opinion from another nurse. Needless to say, that was not a good experience. Our almost nine pound son was born very healthy and my wife is a good sport so all in all it was fine. We left 24 hours later. I will say I was impressed with the security of the hospital. Our second child was born at a different hospital. Again, my wife was induced but at this hospital the nurses checked on us a lot more often- she was able to get pain meds, an epidural, and we had a much nicer room. They even gave the baby it's first bath in our room. It was a much nicer facility and experience!
This is a great jewelry store. I have also shopped with them before the move to this location. They have a nice selection and the prices seem reasonable. They also have lots of books that you can go through if you are in search of something in particular. The salespeople seem friendly and helpful but not pushy.
My wife bought a silver pendant with a little boy on it right after the birth of our son. We had looked at several other places and Simply Silver had the best prices. The salespeople were friendly. They offered to help us, but also allowed us to take our time and look around. They also offered to do a special order if we could not find what we needed in the store. They can engrave jewelry. This is a really nice little place to check out.
Valdosta Lighting is where all of the light fixtures for my house were purchased. These people are great. The selection is large, but they are willing to help you find exactly what you are looking for. The prices are good and the service can't be beat! They are located on Northside Drive- plenty of parking- easy access!
My wife and I shopped for a recliner at Turner's Budget Furniture Outlet. I was very pleased with their choices and prices. They offer many different types of furniture. The salespeople at this store were friendly, but they did not try to give us some high pressured sales pitch. They gave us our space so we could decide exactly what we liked and if we were wanting to buy it then or wait awhile. We did end up buying the recliner and we have been very pleased with our purchase from Turner's Budget! The location of the store is great and the employess were very helpful.
My wife was in need of a large washable ink pad (brown) to use to make Christmas cards with our kids. She looked on the internet and called several local stores. The lady she spoke with on the phone at The School Box was very friendly and was willing to check to see if they carried the item in order to save us a trip if they did not. Lucky for us, they had them! The store is located in a new little shopping center near Walmart and Old Navy. The area is busy but the actual parking lot was not bad at all. The store is brand new and very neat and orderly. When I arrived, the store employee was very friendly and knew just where to find what I was looking for. The people at The School Box were very friendly and willing to help. They will be the first people we call the next time we are in need of a school or art supply!
