Although this waterpark may not hold the attraction for the high school crowd that other waterparks in the area have (because it is smaller and the slides are not as fast) the elementary age and junior high age children love it! Here the lines are not unbearably long - and mom (ME) does not have to worry when I get separated from the kids. There is only one exit so as long as I hang out in front of it, the kids can easily find me and I know that they are safe and secure. There is a great hot tub (but cold showers!)
My nephew loves to swim at this pool because the lifeguards do not test his swimming ability before allowing him to jump into the deep water. Uh, excuse me...is this a positive thing? I always worry here about whether or not the safety of the patrons has ever been considered - yes, there are lifeguards here but they do not seem to be proactive in promoting safety. The good thing about this pool is that it is warm!
My three children have "grown up" at the Lynnwood swimming pool. I have been extremely impressed with the quality of instruction for students at the pool as well as with the rigor of training and instruction for the lifeguards and swim instructors. The thoroughness of the training is wonderful: I am impressed because each student in the swim program is personally tested by pool management who consults with the child's instructor before the decision is made to pass a swim student to a new level of class. Here you do not see lifeguards lazily chatting between themselves - here you see lifeguards who have been trained to seriously assume the responsibility of keeping the patrons safe.
A House of Clocks has been in business for over forty years - I remember this place since childhood. Every time I am there I am especially amazed at the excellent selection of wonderful antique clocks, cuckoo clocks, and wall clocks. Each is a delightful work of art. (My family drives by daily and we are actually saddened when we look through the window and see a personal favorite has been sold!)
Bonnie Blanchard, director of Silverwood Music, is an energetic and talented woman who organizes groups of musicians to perform at weddings, parties, or other celebrations. The versatility of the musicians seems to be excellent as they can play many different styles of music with ease and with beautiful talent.
Always a leader in the field of medical instrumentation, Medtronic Physio Control builds excellent medical products. They have high standards in both the production and in the development of the products they sell. In the past year the company has begun outsourcing more and more of its development tasks.
In my opinion, this school is the finest Christian elementary school in the Seattle area. The administration displays strong leadership commited to both parents and students. The teachers are fine educators who truly care about the children in their classes and who teach Christian values through their words and through their lives. The upper grade classrooms and library are located in a wonderful new building. Education continues through junior high and high school at a campus across the street.
My three children have attended Kings, two have graduated. My youngest, now a sophomore, has attended Kings since first grade. We have seen many changes over the years and have been extremely impressed with the excellent educational program here. The teachers hold the students to high standards academically which prepared my two older students well for university life. A good deal of homework is to be expected each evening - and summer homework as well. One disappointment we have had is the lack of an instrumental program at this school. The school is expensive - be warned - tuition always increases at a rate higher than the cost of living EACH YEAR.
I could spend a fortune in this store and I'm not even a crafter! The inventory here is amazing, highly interesting, and well arranged. I don't have much experience with scrapbooking but the employees here do - and they are so willing to explain techniques and to offer ideas. This is definitely a place worth visiting.
