I showed up at the wrong time for my appointment and the attitude they gave me was thick. You'd think they could be more understanding and at least smile once. Maybe they don't want new clients because they're too cool for the rest of us. Also the decor was cheesy and the prices were really high. And guess what, my cut turned out way too short and you know what that means...I now have to wait a month to let it grow out. A woman's worst nightmare.
CONS: bad attitude, high prices, bad cuts
I just tried these girls a few weeks ago and got one of the best cuts in a lifetime and they only charged me $25. They didn't pull the old, it'll be an extra $5 for shampoo, extra for mousse, extra for hair drying, etc. They listen to the style you want to and know that the size of your head and shape of face is important when deciding what cut to go with. Only downside is I could see hair clippings in a couple corners but maybe they were busy before I showed.
PROS: good prices, didn't try to add on stupid charges, they listen to you
CONS: hair clippings in a couple corners
I wanted to try them because I wanted to try a very tight braid which is a two or more hour process so I took the day off. I was late and had to wait because they took another customer. They never checked up on me and I just sat there all alone and felt really uncomfortable. When they finally got to me I was told that I was only schedueled for a cut and not the braid so I'd have to rescheduel because other customers were in line ahead of me because I was late. I left and will never be back again.
PROS: expensive salon
CONS: rude, schedueling mistakes, didn't check on me in waiting area
I stopped in here to give them a try because I wasn't sure of the cut I wanted so I asked for some suggestions. She knew what color would go with my skin and a cut to match. She corrected years of bad colors that go on and on if you know what I mean and made my hair look natural again. She also offered great recommendations about making color last and keeping hair soft. The only thing is that they're a little on the expensive side but it's worth every dollar.
PROS: corrected my old colors, great cut, wonderful tips
CONS: little on the expensive side
Dawn is usually there when I go to get my cut done. She has great work ethic and it shines thru the other girls My favorite part is when they massage your head during the shampoo. It always puts me to sleep and they listen to what you want instead of given you what they want or can. They seem to add their special touch each and everytime and I'll be a returning customer from this point on.
PROS: relaxing, owner is usually there, shampoo massage is to die for
I'd have a rough week and needed to relax so i decided to try Nail Zone. The neat thing about this place is the owner even works on you so you know you'll get a good job. She was also every nice ot chat with and gave me some good advice on life. The decor was marvelous and all the rest of the staff was so sweet and coureous. They treated me to the weekend i needed and will be going back often.
PROS: relaxing, fair prices, good advice, nice decor
I thought i'd give this place a chance and got what i thought as a fair color. I paid for the service and while waiting for my nails to dry the workers there seemed to get an attitude. I got the feeling that they thought that i had not tipped enough. I'm not a tightwad and when i tip i always tip at least 10% and more if the job is that good. I'd go someone where else first because they might give you attitude if you don't tip enough.
PROS: okay color, prices are fair
CONS: attitude from workers if you don't tip enough
This place is great because it's very spacious, clean and the decor is a southern style. The employees are courtious to a t and are very pleasant to talk with. Everytime i've gone to them i get a wonderful color and they always end up lasting longer than most other places. Only thing is they can get busy from time to time so make sure you call ahead and set up an appointment.
PROS: clean, southern decor, and nail color lasts longer than most
CONS: setup appointment ahead of time
