When I started golfing, I went to Golf Galaxy to pick my clubs. The staff was excellent in helping choose the right clubs as a beginner. They also have a simulated driving range and the experts advised which driver suited my swing. You can also buy used clubs and they also have section for gloves, shirts, shoes and bags. Their pricing is very good as i decided to purchase from them my first set of clubs. The facility is fairly new and big! Parking is huge also!
While visiting L.A. and other Corvette Vendors, West Coast Corvette was the most impressive. They have the most selection when I was there (IMO) and had decent pricing. They also had many aftermarket parts to choose from. The staff was very nice and very knowledgable of their products. They might not have the best prices but they have the largest selection that I've seen at a great location. Their website is also very user friendly and with lots of photos of vehicles they sell and parts they sell. Another great business!
While visiting in Los Angeles, I decided to visit The LAPD. They have all types of parts for your Corvette whether for your interior, exterior or performance. What they do best in my opinion is pricing. They usually have the best price compared to others and they ship right away so you get the parts within a few days. They are also very knowledgable and will help you get the right part for your application. Eventhough they might not have the biggest showroom compared to others, but they are a big player with their pricing and large selection of parts.
While I was in Los Angeles on vacation, I visited Corvette Mikes. It's a great place for used and new Corvettes. They have a huge selection of vintage Vettes to the most recent Z06 Corvette. They also sell several aftermarket parts including wheels, intakes to exhausts at a very reasonable price. I purchased their chrome rims a few years back and they were excellent with triple chrome. Their staff was very helpful and they also carry other muscle cars for sale. They can also restore your old vette to new. Great place and great people.
It's a small place but a very nice showroom with vintage Corvettes for sale and made it into a theme with collectors gas pumps and other props. Parking is very small and it's right off the main road (Ogden Rd.). They also have a show every year that draws all different Corvette owners to show their Vettes at their parking lot. It's a great show and draws many people to visit their showrooms and a great time to be had to meet new people and enjoy each other's cars. Definately a must see if you are looking for a specific Corvette.
For my previous work, I checked out Fox valley Motorcars. Never seen so many Lamborghini's at one place. They are also a certified Lamborghini service department as I also saw a couple of Lamborghinis from out of state being serviced. The salesman was very friendly to us and began small talk. They also had very expensive cars such as Aston Martins and Murceilago with their seperate Lambo showroom. They also carry Ferraris and many other high end vehicles. Check them out if you are looking for a high end sports car.
As my job was to check out dealerships in chicagoland area, i was able to check out Laurel BMW. They have a small but nice showroom. Parking for customers seems very small as I had to find parking on the side of the building as their main parking was full. They had a good selection but if you want a certain vehicle with certain options, you most likely have to special order. The salesman was very friendly but didn't seem very interested in a sale. For example, I had to go up to the salesman to ask for a brochure and pricing while he stood by the counter. Not bad dealer but could improve. in my opinion.
The service consultant of the Mercedes dealer i go to left to Autohause and advised to give them a try. I had a warranty work that needed to be done so I decided to try Autohaus. The service consultant was excellent and cater to all the needs that I had. They gave me a loaner as usually and he also gave me an tour of their facility. They did a great job in fixing my cup holder and I would change to Autohaus but unfortunately they are alittle farther than I like. Good facility and great customer service in their service department.
Schaumburg Honda is a very nice dealership. The sales people were very friendly and curteous. They were helpful yet not overbearing. I was able to test drive a Accord EX and I told him I was just looking and they understood right away without any pressure. They have many many vehicles in their lot and their pricing seems very reasonable with others in the area. I would recommend looking at them if you are looking to purchase a new Honda. They also have a big parking lot for customers.
When my mom was looking for a Sequoia, I decided to check out Schaumburg Toyota. On my first visit, the saleman was very good and showed me the car and all the options. My next visit I brought my mom with but the salesman who was helping me the first time was off that day so we went to the cashier to ask for a salesman as no one was to be found in the showroom. After 2 pages, the cashier than paged the new car manager. He wasn't very friendly as he was "bothered" so he got a salesman from the back. We explained to the salesman the situation and after he heard our salesman was another person, he wouldn't help us at all and said we needed to come back when our salesman was working. Then the general manager happened to walk by and was very nice and friendly and told him the situation and was very apologetic for their new car manager and salesman who wouldn't help us and got another salesman to help us. They have good selection but their sales department wasn't very helpful.
