This is where we got my husbands tuxedo and the tuxedos for our bridal party when we got married. We thought thier prices were more than reasonable and they through in the groom's tux for free. We were also pleased with the slection of tuxedos and the styles they had available. They also had a nice selection of vests and ties, ranging fro mthe classic look to some of the new more trendy styles. The staff was freidnly, and it was especially convenient sicne we had our bridal party dinner right next door at Rosarios, making it easy for the groomsmen to pick up their tuxes.
It's fun to stop in here and take a look at some of the high-end designer clothes for kids, although their prices tend to be a little high for my liking. Even so, I've picked up some items in here that I just had to have because they were unqiue and adorable. They also have a small selection of high-end toys, such as Melissa and Doug toys that I have not seen sold elsewhere. If you come here, be prepared to pay a lot for some items and kick yourslef for not having more money to by everything in the shop!
Although they specialize in wicker items, this is a great place to get a variety of holiday decorations at cheap prices. We usually stock up here on Halloween and Christmas items that are impossible to find elsewhere and their prices are unbeatable. Check out their metal pumpkins, scarecrows, witches, and ghosts if you liek to decorate for Halloween. Also , try to go during a week day if you can, as they tend to get bust on the weekends in the sumemr and some items tend to go out of stock fast.
I have gone in here on a numebr of occassion to have my nails done and found the staff friendly and the prices more than reasonable for the shore. I also make my husband go here to get his hair cut as I think they do an excellent job, even better than his regualr barber back home. And their prives are also about the same, maybe even a bit cheaper. A great place for men and women alike, and they are happy to take walk-ins.
Our family has known Captain Paul for a number of years and my husband always enjoys going fishing with his brother once a year on the Porgy III for flounder or sea bass. I haven't been back out n a number of years becuase of my seas sickness but the Captain is one of the more knowledgable fishing boat owners down the shore and he knows all of the wrecks and best fishing holes. Unlike some of the other party boats, the crowd is geerally good natured and you don't get too many of the heavy drinkers that you will find on some of other boats down the shore.
We love ot bring our kids here. They have a great selection of rides for toddlers and young ones, as wel las for older kids and adults. Between the three different piers, you can find a giant rolelr coaster that marks the wildwood skylines, soem great roller coasters, a log flume, merry go rounds, fun house, tilt wheel, goant swings, a water park, and much much more. We always try to get there right after dinner, as the crowds of young high school and college kids can get a bit unruly as the night goes on. Once nine o'clock rolls around, we try to get off the board walk just because of the crowds and behavior of some of the groups, especially on big holiday weekends. But our young ones love it and we love bringing them here!
My husband and I usually stop in here at the end of the sumemr seaosn to pick up some items at deeply discounted prices when they are getting ready to close up shop for the winter. Although their prices are a bit expensive during the peak summer months, they do have a unique and impressive selection of items that you won't find elsewhere. If you can stop in here suring their end of season sale, you can find some great bargains, especialyl on ties and summer dress shirts. A great little shop.
We stopped in here to pick up our a bicycle seat for one of our young sons to attach to the back of our bike. We were impressed with the quality of the items they carry in the store, their reasonable prices, which were coparable to non-reort prices (which is saying a lot for the shore!). They also had a nice selection of Kessler items, that although we did not purchase had not seen stocked in any other bicycle stores we had visited. although its a bit cramped, the staff is very helpful and responsive and their slection is impressive. Also seems to be a popular place to rent bikes in Stone Harbor.
While I don't think its of the quality or selection of Mia's in Ocean City, Murdoughs stil has a very sizable array of Christmas items to choose form. We tend to stop in here several times a year sicne its located in the main shopping district in Stone Harbor which is just a few minutes from where we stay. We've manages to find a number of different and unique ornaments for our tree here, as well as some nice Clothtique Santas that are reired and pretty difficult to find. A definite store to put on your visit list when in Stone Harbor.
This is my favorite Christmas shop down the shore, and I think it exceeds Winterwood in terms of quality and selection. Located on the boardwalk in Ocean City, Mia's is jam packed with a huge selection of Christmas figurines, decor, and ornaments. We like to decorate out Christmas tre with ornaments our kids will appreicate. They had them all , including elmo and Sesame Street, Clifford, and Bob the Builder. They also have ornaments for a lot of sports teams if you have a sport lover in your family. A great way to get some early Christmas shopping done in the summer.
