This hotel and casino was old looking. With the name of the Hilton, I expected this to be a lot newer and classier. This was the place that Elvis performed and it doesn't look much different that when he performed. There really isn't any attractions to draw you down here. The only thing I really enjoyed was the buffet. The buffet had great food. If you joined their slot club you could get a buy one get one free buffet.
The Hilton Grand Vacation Club is a all suites hotel. Your hotel room is equiped with a full size kitchen and washer/dryer unit. This location is right across the street from the Las Vegas Hilton. This location is away from the strip. It is too far to walk to anything on the strip. You will need to rent a car or ride the shuttle to get to anything. It is located at the end of the strip but conveniently located near the Sahara shuttle station.
Steve Wyricks magic show is at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino. He is a large scale magician that makes huge things disappear. He has made motorcycles, helicopters, and other large things appear and disappear. He is very entertaining and will make your eyes do a double take. I would take in this show.
Folies Bergere plays at the tropicana and is one of the longest running shows in Vegas. It is a showgirls type show with dancing. It is very classy. The show is over an hour long. The early show is geared towards families while the later show is peformed topless. The seating is very crowded if you are seated in the back at the tables.
This hotel/casino is very nicely decorated in a medival type setting. You get the feeling you have stepped into King Arthur's court. This casino has an area that is dedicated to children. It is kind of like an open air fair type area with games and shows. It is a fun area to take your kids to.
Even thought the Hard Rock Casino is located off the strip, it is still happening. This places screams rock and roll. They have cool rock memorbelia all around the hotel that is neat to look at. Lots of stars have donated items to be put on display. The casino floor is kind of shaped like a circle. This isn't a huge casino but it gives the feel like you are at a party. They also offer some nice seating areas on the casino floor for you to hang out and sit if you are not gambling.
This place makes you feel like you are walking down the streets of NYC. The interior of the casino is decorated to look like outdoors in NYC. It is amazing. YOu can play slots with the trees of central park hanging over you. This casino is one of the neatest ones on the strip. They have an awesome roller coaster that rides you around the outside of the building. They also offer a very nice game room for kids upstairs in the building.
The tropicana is a great hotel/casino to visit. If you are looking to stay on a budget this is a great place. It is located right on the strip but the rooms are very reasonable. They also offer a free show in the middle of the casino 4 or 5 times a day. This show is called Air Play. It is very entertaining. They also have a free slot pull that is located outside of the casino. I recommend stopping by and pulling because you can win free show tickets doing this. This hotel is a great value.
The Orleans is located a couple of miles from the Las vegas strip but that doesn't stop it from being fun. This hotel offers so many services. They have a huge gaming floor full of slots. They also offer some of the best craps in town. You could play for $1 minimum. This was great for beginners like us. I also played a lot of poker in their poker room. You could play a game of poker with a minimum bet of 2/4. The orleans also offers a bowling alley.
The buffet here is awesome. I loved all the food and with a coupon the buffet is very reasonable. Take the time and drive to the orleans to see whats happening here.
Wow is a word that could describe this place. The price to stay at Bellagio is steep. If you cannot afford to stay here I recommend at least walking through here. This place is very artsy. The tiles and the flooring are beautiful. You will feel like you have stepped into a castle. They have a stunning atrium/garden area that you have to see to believe. There is also great artwork to see. Walk through the place and see how beautiful it is.
Also, check out the water show in the front of the Bellagio. It plays every 15 minutes and it is free. It is one of the best things to see in Vegas.
