The Quilting Place
The quilting place has a fairly good selection considering that it is fairly small in size. They have a number of quilting books and of course notions and quilting supplies. Where they really stand out is in the quality of their machine quilting. If you are a quilter who likes to piece the top but do not have a quilting machine or the patience to hand quilt, they do a great job of quilting for you.
Rich's For The Home-Lynnwood
I bought a propane fireplace insert at Rich's. I felt it was a high quality product at a very good price as it was a floor sample. The only issue I had with it was that after installation we would smell propane on occasion. We had the installer out several times before he found a leak in one of the pipes he had installed. He repaired the pipe and my house didn't blow up, but it still made me a little uncomfortable. I am not sure that I would buy from them again.
Art Supply Northwest Inc
Art Supply Northwest is a good place to go if you are looking for paints, brushes, clays, ect. They have a nice selection and the people who work there are very helpful and friendly. I haven't taken any classes there yet, but they offer quite a few different painting, drawing, and other art classes. All in all, it is just a nice independent art store to feed your creative side.
Jerry's Surplus
Jerry's surplus has a good selection of work and outdoor clothes. They also carry plenty of camping equipment, canoes, and even some "survival" type stuff. You can buy a fishing pole or even a gun if the fishing pole isn't working for you. If you are into the "outdoors" this is a good place to look for clothing and equipment. If not, you're better off staying home while your husband and kids go.
Bry's Television & Appliance
The issue that Brys Television, appliance, satellite, furniture, and car audio has can be clearly seen in the name of the store. It has a lot of different types of items but not a very good selection for any of them. They have furniture that is limited in style and the quality doesn't seem to be that high, They also have electronic equipment but again, just a few specific items. It is as if this store can not decide what it wants to be.
Bonds Furniture
Bonds furniture is small but has nice quality traditional style furniture. They also have some truly lovely Tiffany style stained glass lamps and panels. If you are looking for solid classic style wood furniture Bonds is worth a look. If you are not interested in traditional style furniture don't bother checking Bonds out.
Designer's Warehouse
Designers Warehouse has a huge selection of furniture on display. They have floor after floor and room after room of furniture. The building is stuffed with stuff and seems to go on forever. They have decent quality items at good prices, but unless you are looking for something very traditional or country in style you may not find what you are looking for. In short, they have a huge selection of boring furniture.
In The Beginning-Fabrics
In the Beginning is a really remarkable fabric store. It has a huge selection of fabrics and notions. It is a big part of the reason the Northwest is such a hub of the quilting world. They have just about any fabric you need and a whole lot more than you knew you needed. If you quilt and you are in 100 miles of Seattle you need to visit this store, even if to only be inspired by the amazing variety of fabrics, books and finished quilts they have on display.
Tulalip Resort Hotel
I have to admit I haven't been to a lot of casinos in my life but I always enjoy going to Tulalip. I think they did a very nice job with the overall decorating and look of the casino. Their food is alright and is priced pretty fairly. It is worth going to the restaurant in the Christmas season just to see the Gingerbread house they always have on display. My only real complaint is that I am often forced to change machines as there seem to be so many chain smokers who hang out there. It can also be extremely noisy...But I guess that's kind of the point of a casino?
Tulalip Bingo
I have been going to Tulalip Bingo a few times a year for 10 years or so. It is a fun place to spend a few hours and a few dollars. I would recommend sitting in non smoking if you're not a smoker though, as the smoke can be truly unbearable. The Bingo games are clearly called and easy to play without confusion. They also have pretty big jackpots which makes me wish I would win a lot more often than I do.
