Barry Studios
Barry is an amazing photographer! His studio is located in the front room of his home and in nice weather, he will do shots in his garden. His photography is really an art- beautiful masterpieces from every shot. he does charge a lot but it is worth it for special occassion portraits. he offers a lot of options when ordering your pictures for picture size, framing and specialty coatings.
Snap Shot A Studio
With Snapshot photography, the pictures you get depends on who's working that day and how busy they are. The times that we have come to get family photos done here and we were the only ones in the shop, they gave us the time and patients and we got great shots. When they had several other families waiting or just finishing, they were overwhelmed and they did sloppy work. Their prices and packages are also quite expensive. They also do not have the convenience that many studios now offer of seeing your pictures digitally on the spot.
Good 2 Go Notary Services
Good 2 To Go Notary is a great notary service because they come to you! you give them a call and make an appointment and they will meet you in your home or your office. if you are not comfortable with that arrangement, you can also decide to meet in a mutually agreed upon public place like a cafe to get your papers notarized. They do charge higher rates because of this service but it is often worth avoiding the hassle.
Seven Nail
This is the place to go to get your nails done. They have an extremely clean place, lots of helpful employees and a pleasant atmosphere. They do a superb job on manicures and pedicures even if it is a little pricey. The one peeve about this place is the wait- since they are so good they are always busy and you often have to wait a long time for your turn.
All About Nails
All About Nails can do a nice job on your nails but the place does not feel clean and comfortable so i truly hesitate to recommend it. They have 4 foreign workers that don't speak a good English working there and their equipment is very "used". while they are creative in colors and do a regular manicure pedicure treatment, the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired.
Sikorskiy Moving Incorporated
Sikorskiy movers knows their stuff when it comes to moving. They have a group of strong movers that can get your entire home moved in a minimum of time. They are not very detail conscious however. So it is extremely important to have someone watching to make sure they wrap your furniture well and don't scratch it or otherwise damage it during the move.
Schwartz Jewelers Corporation
This jewelry shop, located in the heart of the Boro Park shopping district has a large selection of fine jewelry. Their prices are decent for the good quality of jewelry they are selling. The problem is that the sales staff is not friendly. you almost feel like they are doing you a favor by letting you shop by them! if you can get by that, however, you will find that they have beautiful pieces to choose from at good prices.
M & J Jewelry
This jewelry shop has a huge selection of fine 14K jewelry. It seems however that their jewelry is not top of the line. The prices and display are a little cheap-looking. They are also willing to "bargain" with you which is not a good sign in fine jewelry. Their location is great but their sales staff does not seem to be knowledgeable about the jewelry they sell.
Paerdegat Athletic Club
perdegat athletic club specializes in sport type workouts. They have both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spas, saunas and massage areas. They have ping pong, indoor soccer, basketball and raquetball. Their is a nice clientelle that comes so it makes you want to come back for more which is very important where fitness is concerned. They even offer babysitting services!
Empire Fitness Clubs
Empire Fitness clubs is a great health club for an excersize-a-holic! The best thing is that everything is sparkling clean adn the atmosphere is very comfortable. They offer all kinds of clases like kickboxing, yoga, pilates and good old aerobics! Their equimpment is really top of the line and they have a wonderful weight area. Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
