If you're sick of the "pizza" sold by Pizza Hut and Dominos, Milan Pizza is an answer to your prayers! This brand new business has been the talk of Garwood since their opening, and deservedly so. This is the real deal, the pizza you remember from before the chains came along with their mass produced pizzas. I love thin crust pies, and here I have found the best. Each pizza is made to order with first class results. Large pies are huge, 16 inches, and the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. Milan's also offers many Gourmet pizzas, including Hawaiian (with pineapple) and Chicago (pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs), along with standard Italian fare such as Veal Parmigiana and Manicotti. Sub sandwiches and burgers are also available, all made with the same care. So give this place a try, and after you do, I guarantee you will throw out Domino's number! My family would eat there every night if I let them.
Open Mon-Sat, 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Free Delivery.
Dr. Cunicella is one of the few doctors that will see anyone who comes through the door. He sees patients with no insurance or those who's HMO refuse payment. The staff is just as caring and will make you believe once again in the "Good Doctor". The care is top notch, and the Doctor takes phone calls personally to fully understand your complaints. This is a very special type of practice that is rarely seen these days.
My family and I love this restauant, both inside and on "The Porch". The food is typical bar food, such as hot wings and burgers, and the beer is sold by the pitcher, but it's the friendly atmosphere that makes this place so special. This is not a wild hang out type of bar, but a calmer local bar that you will want to spend a whole evening. Great prices, great service.
The Montessori education supports the whole child by combining several age groups together in the belief that children learn better from their older friends example. Socialization is an important part of this school, and both my children became more out going and confident because of this environment.. Language development is stressed and some basic math is introduced. This is not just another pre-school, but an early start to your children's education. I strongly recommend this school.
I decided to try my hand at faux painting and went here for the supplies. The staff took the time to teach me what I needed to know, (I did Ragging) and helped with color choice. I know the job turned out as well as it did because of their advise, even though I had taken a class in the technique at a local night school. The color choice is very important and Young had displays of the different combinations which helped me select the best colors. This is an example of a great local business!
I have lived in this area all my life and have used this group for over 30 years. The staff are all animal nuts and come out from behind their desks to play with clients and make friends with your pet. They offer multi-pet discounts, and keep careful records of your pets health. It is the only place I would board my dogs, and if you see the place you will understand why. This is an animal lovers veterinarian!
This is the new "in" place to get your hair done, especially if you are a teenage girl. They will also do make up for special occasions and waxing. Prices are steep, but coupons can be found in the local papers and mailings. They have great "Prom Specials", packages that include hair and make-up, and my daughter and her friends went as a group the day of their prom. I must say they all looked fabulous and were very happy with the results. It was nice that the salon offered this, and they made sure the girls were happy with their look for their prom. That was worth every penny!
A fun place to take your kids, I found this last year by accident while shopping in Flemington. Northlandz is a model railroad Mecca with 8 miles of track indoors, and an outdoor railroad ride. It was so much fun and for the girls in our group who were not impressed by trains there was an 94 room dollhouse! This was really an adventure in miniature, and a beautifully run museum. They recently added a "club car" snack bar with Nathan's Hot Dogs and other kid friendly snacks. Well worth the trip.
East Coast sells new and used pianos. I'm the piano player in my family and wanted to trade in my upright for a baby grand. East Coast was the perfect place to do this. On site they had over 200 pianos by all the major brands. They finance and offer rebates. Pianos are delivered and tuned, with benches sold separately. They are truly piano experts!
I love wicker furniture and I shopped long and hard to fine the best at a good price. Fran's was such a great find! The showroom is over 10,000 sq.ft. and filled with only high grade wicker and rattan. Her prices are fair considering the high quality, and the selection can't be beat. They deliver at no extra cost, and you can see their inventory on line, or call for a catalog. But it's worth the time to visit the store, and see for yourself all the unusual pieces they carry.
