I've not used them for camera repair, so I cant say how they are at that, but there are better places to buy camera equipment in Houston. For one, they are not as well stocked as Houston Camera Exchange or Camera Co-op, and on top of that they are understaffed. I've waited long to find they didnt have the product I was looking for.
The KEH store in Atlanta is a great place just like their website. When I visited Atlanta, I had to check their retail store after having bought many a items from their website. I was blown away. They have a huge inventory of used manual and autofocus lenses, camera bodies and many many accessories. I bought a used, now discontinued Sigma lens for my Nikon cameras, and the lens was in excellent shape. I have never had any problems witrh that lens, I'd definitely recommend this place to anybody shopping for used camera equipment.
This is a good place to get your haircut for under 10 dollars. They do a decent job and you can also get the corps cut if you're in the corps of cadets. Definitely recommended.
We went there to buy some aggie gifts for relatives. Finding it was easy as it was located right in the post oak mall in College Station. The prices are a little on the higher side, but the variety is good. Its definitely a good place to buy aggie gifts.
Their store is even more impressive than their website. They have hundreds of Cameras, lenses and accessories lined up and its hard not to find what you're looking for there. Add to that the really knowledgeable guys behind the counter, it is a real pleasure to actually go into the store and buy the camera equipment you want.
I used to send them my slides for developing when I lived in College Station. I always got them back within a week and the quality of their work was good. I once tried Kodaks service and the work was shoddy. After that I only went to Holland Photo. And their prices are very reasonable too.
When I used to live near Westheimer and Kirkwood, this was the place I went to get my haircut. The place is well staffed and wait time is short. They do a professional and efficient job.
I go to the TGF on Holcombe, since htat is close to home. The place is well maintained and organized. Sometimes though, only one or two of the haircutters are there which could result in a longer wait time. They do a professional and efficient job.
The Houston Library system is an excellent source of books and media. You can find almost any book and if they dont have it they'll get it for you through the Interlibrary loan. I found this feature particularly useful while preparing for the PE Exam. They were able to get me Engineering books from different universities all over the country.
If you want to find groceries and food from Asia, Latin America and Europe and dont want to pay too much money, this is the place for you. Granted its no Central Market, but I shop here for Indian grocery items when it too far to go to Hilcroft. The place is an unorganized mess, but I go here for the unbeatable prices
