Derby City Lawn Care
I hate taking care of my lawn, so I get Derby City Lawn Care to do the dirty work. This place does a great job taking care of my lawn. The men who cut my lawn are always so nice and polite. I have used other lawn care places in town, but they are so expensive or do not show up to cut your lawn. This is not a problem I have ever had with Derby City. Their prices are very reasonable.
Ups Store
The UPS store is a great place to go to make copies, send a fax, get something bound, and send a package. The prices are reasonable. The workers are helpful and friendly. I needed to send a huge item, and this place helped me pack and send it. There is a copier that you can use if you do not wish other people to look at your papers. The store is bright and clean. They have a notary public if you need one. They have a shredding service which is great for people, like me, that are too lazy to shred your own important papers.

Fern Creek Flowers
Fern Creek Flowers has some of the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen. I had some flowers sent to my mother on Mother's Day, and the quality of the arrangement could not have been better. The flowers were fresh and beautiful. The prices were very reasonable. The delivery was made on time by a very friendly man.

Comic Book World
My son loves comic books and could spend all day in this store. They carry a good selection of comic books. The workers are polite and helpful. One young man helped me to find a comic I was picking up for my son. The place could be cleaner, but it was not too dirty. There are only a few parking spaces, and the area of town is not the best.

Gnc
Jefferson mall is a large mall with four major department stores, plus a lot of small shops and restaurants. I like this mall because there are two nice bookstores. There is a small food court, but it needs a better selection of restaurants. The mall was recently remodeled and looks really nice. The restrooms in the mall are not the cleanest. It is one of the few malls I have seen that has a dollar store in it. There is always plent yof parking spaces, even during holidays. For some reason this mall never seems to get as crowded as the mall in St. Matthews or Oxmoor.

Putt Putt Golf & Games
There are not too many putt putt golf places in Louisville. I believe many of them closed down. This place has three putt putt golf courses to choose from. The prices are good. Inside there are some video games to play if you do not like to play golf. If you get a hole- in -one when the light that is the color of your ball is on then you win a coupon. My kids love this place! They could spend all day playing golf , eating snacks from the snack bar, and playing the games inside. The place is kept free of litter. It can get very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. This place is closed during the winter months.
PROS: Fun for the whole family
CONS: Crowded on weekends.
Cherokee Animal Hospital
I have taken one of my cats to Cherokee Animal Hospital. The staff seemed pleasant enough, but I really did not like the place. The waiting area was dark and depressing, although it did look clean. The vet I had did not seem to be particularly good with handling my cat. My cat is scared to death of all vets, and needs to handle in a very gentle manner. I do not believe the vet was particularly gentle with my cat during the examination. The prices were very high, but this is true for most animal hospitals.

Wicks N Sticks
Wicks n Sticks sell a variety of candles. This store smells so good, you just have to walk in and look around. I bought the cutest basket that had a variety of cat candles inside for a great price. Around the holiday this store will have many baskets filled with candles, matches, and other items that make great gifts. There is usually a small area with mark down items. Make should you look at these items because there can be some great stuff at cheap prices. This store is never really crowded, except during the holidays. The employees are polite and do not bother you.

Heitzman Bakery & Deli
I always get any cakes or pies from Heitzman Bakery. I usually bake my own cakes, but when I cannot find time to bake, I will order from Heitzman. Their cakes are so moist and delicious. Their cherry pies are the best! They have cookies, cupcakes, and a variety of pies. The only problem with this place is they occasional get orders wrong. I ordered a Christmas cake with red roses, and received a cake with plastic Christmas decorations and no red roses. Prices are a little high.

Conway's Cake & Candy Supplies
Conways Cake & Candy Supplies is a great place to go if you make candy or bake cakes. The supplies are the best. I have never seen such a selection of cake and candy supplies at such cheap prices. I bake a lot of cakes and make a lot of candy during the holidays, and this place is the only store I shop at to get all my supplies. They always have things in stock, and run some pretty good sales. The workers are so friendly and eager to help you.
