I've attended conferences at this school and I am impressed with the general upkeep of the grounds. The school is on a beautiful campus, with the Kankakee River flowing right on by. It's gorgeous. The inside of the building is kept up nicely as well. There is also plenty of parking. I cannot speak to the quality of the classes, but I can say that conferences that are offered there are very interesting and informative. I love when my conferences are scheduled there because, like I said, it's beautiful.
This is an older theatre, but if you're lucky enough to have your movie selection playing in the main theatre, then you are in for a treat. The main theatre has a HUGE screen and seating for numerous people. It's a great experience seeing a scary movie in an older theatre. However, if you are in a side theatre, it's not that great. Just an old theatre with a strange smell. The ticket prices are pretty reasonable too.
Great museum for children to play with hands-on materials. Provides many experiences for growth and exploration. More importantly, it provides an outlet for kids to have good, clean fun! My favorite is playing with water. Who doesn't love splashing and playing with the gadgets. It's located on Navy Pier, so public transporation might be your best bet. Also, check out the website for free family nights.
I am a graduate student at Roosevelt University and so far I love my experience there. I take the train in (parking can be very expensive) and the train station is not even a block away for me. It's great! The building is older but it's very nice. The class student size is very low, you really get to know your professors. And if you ever get the urge to daydream, hopefully you'll have a class with a view of Buckingham Fountain the Lake Michigan. It's beautiful! If you go up to the 10th floor library, the views are awesome and it's a great place to study.
I enjoyed my trip the zoo. It was a beautiful day outside, perfect for walking all the different pathways. I liked how all the paths led you to a different area or animal. Everything was connected in some type of theme. I enjoyed how the elephants and giraffes (I believe) were grouped together in an enormous pen for them to walk and play around in. The food was pricey of course, but it was excellent.
This hotel offers affordable rates and is a great place for the family. The bottom floor is a huge arcade for the kids, and there is a jousting tournament that the whole family can enjoy. The pool is very nice and there is a nice hot tub outside as well. Excalibur offers a very nice spa for customers. Upon check-in you are given free coupons for a free visit to the spa; which has an indoor hot tub/steam room/health club. Very nice. However, Excalibur is located FAR FAR away from many of the new or oldies but goodies atttactions. Prepare your feet for some major walking.
Offers different types of luxury pool suites. Accommodations include pools, spa, steam room, etc. Very nice for a getaway for a day, weekend or even just a daytrip. The facility is very clean and the grounds are very well kept. Get on the mailing list and they send valuable coupons for reduced rates.
Normally I fly out of Midway, but I was unable to get a flight out of there and had to turn to O'hare. It wasn't that bad navigating through the terminals and my flight out wasn't bad at all. However, when I returned from my trip; that's when the madness began. The baggage area is under construction and people are just EVERYWHERE. Furthermore, I was directed to the wrong baggage claim number and wandered around trying to spot people from my plane. Thankfully that method did work, but our conveyor belt wasn't functioning properly and it was not a smooth procedure. I couldn't wait to get out of there! Which posed another problem, the pick-up drive was so backed up with tons of cars. It was unbelievable!
I've been a member for a great portion of my life. The church is beautiful with vaulted ceilings and beautiful stained glass. The Pastor is very friendly and welcoming. The congregation welcomed my family right in, when we first started attending. There is also an attached school for your children to attend. Two services; at 8am and 10:30pm. Between services there are Sunday School classes and a Bible Study class for adults. Wednesday night service also available. Go check it out!
I always use this facility to groom my cat. I do not use their Vet services (I use a Vet closer to home), but I can say that they do an excellent job of giving my cat a great hair-cut. I've actually been in the backroom (chaperone on a field trip) and it's very clean and sanitary back there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a wonderful place.
