Whole Life Yoga
I went on a sample (aka Free) day and will be back again. It allows people new to yoga or the business to check it out. I took a class that's recommeneded for all body types. It focus on knowing your own limits and slowly exp anding them. This was especially good for me as they 1st time I tried yoga I ended up wearing BenGay for 3 days. Each movement can be customized to whatever level you're at. At the end of the session, I felt wonderful and energized. I was also to enjoy the rest of day with a great feeling of peace.
If you're interested, you can take training to become a yoga teacher. There was also some workshop information (I think on meditation). Lots of other types of classes like for children and pregaunt women.
Ballard Blossom Incorporated
I was thoroughly pleased with my experience. They were so willing to help me and the flowers were the best. They also lasted longer than I experience before.
I was able to get at boquet that fit with my budget and when I wasn't totally pleased with some of the flowers, they went into the back as pulled out fresher ones (ask for this!). All and all it was a lovely arrangement at a reasonable price
The store itself also carried green plants, some with flowers. You can also get silk flowers, baskets, and a variety of garden and gift accessories (like ballons, candy, and stuffed toys).
I loved supporting a local business
Dandelion Botanical Company
As soon as you walk you feel a comfortable feeling take over! You're welcomed by a friendly staff who will custom mix lotions and oils to any blended scents. I highly recommend trying this out. They carry their own line of products. The owner, Mary offers lots of tips on what combinations will give you your desired effects.
There is also (though I didn't buy), herbal remedies (chinese and ayurvedi) and potpourri.
I got a wonderful ginger and orange lotion, and rose oil, all for around $20.
The store is not hard to spot, conveinent to other Fremont shopping and eating. The biggest challenge is the parking, but that's Fremont.
