A week ago while out with my family our van broke down. We were stuck. We called AAA who connected us with Maynard towing. Maynard towing called us back to let us know that they would be coming for us and gave us an estimated time. We explained that we at a business that had to close their gates in 45 minutes. The woman said she would see what she could do and call us back. A few minutes later she let us know that the other people waiting for the truck said they could come get us first!
The tow truck driver arrived on time and was very polite. He was patient with the children, taking the time to answer their questions. HE drove us back home, keeping up a pleasant conversation.
While I hope to not need a towing company again for a very long time I know who I will call if the need arises.
If you are tired of the run of the mill toys found at the big chains come check out Cat and the Fiddle. Inside you will find quality toys, wooden train sets, classic dolls and fine reading books. There is so much packed in this little store you will not be disappointed. The owner is very friendly and knows her stock. If you are unsure of what a certain age child will like she can give you wonderful advice. This store is truly a gem.
The Dunlaps are the business that put in our septic system before we moved to the area. They went above their duty to make sure that everything went smoothly. Since we moved there we have had them come out a couple of times to do other heavy equipment work. Their rates are very reasonable. They are always punctual and never have the missed an appointment.
I had the unfortunate need for a hospital stay this summer. They staff at the Providence medical center for the most part were very good. There were a few who left much to be desired, but in a facility this large it is to be expected. The hospital rooms, while on the small side were also very cozy. I was in two rooms and one was much bigger, and had newer amenities.
They are doing a renovation of the center, but my stay was in no way disturbed by the work. Visitors did find the parking to be a bit on the difficult side, but that will clear up when the work is done.
Over all I was very pleased with the medical care I received and while I hope to never return I know I can trust the care I will receive.
When I moved to Southern Oregon one of my first purchases was a chain saw. I found the people eat Lewis Power Equipment to be very good and helping me find the right saw for the work I needed to do. I have been back many times since, get chains sharpen, buying new chains and have my saw serviced. I have never been disappointed with the service I have received. During the spring, it did take a bit longer to get my blade sharpened, but I expected that. It is the busy season. Overall I am very pleased with the service I receive from them.
The Oregon Coast Aquarium is truly a world-class place. The exhibits are wonderful and informative. The shark tunnel is a real event. The kids can spend hours, yes hours, watching the sharks. The look on shark-obsessed kids makes the drive well worth it! The bird exhibit is great fun; the puffins are very interesting to watch. There are enough inside exhibits to make it a good choice for a rainy Oregon day. The price is a bit high, but at the same time well worth it. Parking is ample, although some of the distant spots are a bit of a walk.
You will find the best advice and supplies for fishing in Southern Oregon at Bradbury's. Locals know to stop in Bradburys first to find were the fish are biting. But of course they don't just stop for advice they stop for the great selection of fishing gear and knowledgeable staff. The staff know what bait is needed for the fish you are hoping to catch. They also keep up-to-date on what the fish are being lured with. If you are in need of fishing supplies or advice you will not be disappointed with a stop at Bradburys.
Right off the I-5 you will find this fun park for children. Set in a fairytale setting you will find trails leading you to the home of Snow White, the three little pigs and more. Kids can top it all off by sliding down a big slide and then laugh at mom, dad and even a grand parent going down the slide also. Parking is ample and cost for the park is minimal. If you re form out of the area this park is well worth the drive.
This is the school that I will always judge others by. It was a sad day we moved from the area. Our son went to Faith Lutheran preschool for 2 years. The teachers are among the best I have ever dealt with. They were always aware of what the children were doing and were able to tell me fun stories of what my son learned. They kept the parents up-to-date of progress made in development. The arts they choose to do were creative. There was no a heavy emphasize on "learning instead they gave the kids learning opportunities through out the day. I never had one complaint about the experience my son had.
I have been a customer of UH for many years. IN all the time I had my Honda serviced there I have never been let down. My work was done on time and correct. The Auto Techs are always available to answer questions. I purchased cars form the dealer also and always felt like I was given a great deal. I would not hesitate to return for another purchase.
