I love Chinese food, but I ate here once and will never go back. The food was not fresh at all. It was pre-prepared, and I think it had been sitting there all day. I literally felt ill afterwards. It was fast, but not good at all.
I bought a used vehicle here a few years ago and had continuous problems with it. The door hinges needed to be replaced. A wheel bearing went bad in a matter of months. The iginition had to be replaced twice and still didn't work properly. Everytime I took it in, I had to wait all day, literally. Twice they promised it would take a couple of hours and then told me they needed to keep it overnight, but couldn't give me a rental. When they switched the ignition twice and couldn't figure out the problem, they started telling me nothing was wrong with it when there was obviously a problem. I'll never go back.
We bought a van here and not only love the van, but loved our buying experience. Ask for Carl Shultz. He really took care of us from beginning to end and still sends letters making sure we're still happy with the purchase.
You can't find candles this good at any of the big retail stores. If you want to buy gifts for the wife, mother, anyone female; you can't go wrong here. Everything smells and looks great. Usually you can find some great sales.
This is a small privately-owned store tucked away in a little strip of stores on a busy road. The owner will give you a great price and help you pick the right bed for you. He'll also tell you the history of mattress making. It's an experience. You can only understand if you visit the place.
Vitos is a great community pizza place. They often supply pizza to the local schools for football games, etc. The pizza is delicious and the price is affordable.
If you polled women in Lynchburg, I imagine 9 out of 10 would say Women's Health Services is the place to go. They delivered both of my children, and my wife and I love the doctors and nurses. If she's happy; I'm happy.
Monro's is good for oil changes, but they are a little too expensive and shady for anything else. Oil changes sometimes take a little too long, especially when they don't seem to be busy.
Browns is a really good small pet store. If you are looking for smaller pets, like fish, lizards, hamsters, etc. this is the best place in town. The service is great, and they take good care of the animals.
We go here once a week as a family. They have a great selection of kids books and videos. The adult selection is good, but it generally takes them a while to get newer, not so well-known titles. The new online catalog and reserve system is excellent.
