Riverdale Farm and Garden has a great selection of perennial and annual plants. Their plants seem to be of high quality and make a very pretty display all season long. I found they have a variety of plants although, they didn't seem to have a few unique items I was looking for and their prices were above average. Still, there plants were very high quality and just beautiful.
I found the Nashoba Valley Garden Center selection very small. The products were good quality but I found the selection very small, especially mulch. The people working at the garden center were very friendly and helpful. The store area seemed to have a nice variety of garden trinkets and gifts.
This quaint and charming country store is exactly what you would expect to find in New England. It has a great selection of crafts and antiques. Definitely check out the old player pianos in the back which run on quarters. The front has an old time candy store as well as a pickle barrel.
This farm stand has a large selection of fruits, vegetables and plants. The inside of the farm stand is a little run down and not as new englandy as you would expect but it is filled with a good variety of what you would want during the summer months. It is definitely conveniently located to route 495 which makes it quite busy during the spring, summer and fall.
Kimballs Farm is a great place to go for miniature golf and water bumper cars. The miniature golf course's landscaping is breathtaking - especially, the water fall. There are two separate courses which are both challenging but appropriate for all ages. The water bumper cars are fun and then end the fun at the ice cream stand next door. It's the best ice cream in Massachusetts!!
Kimball's farm is a small farm located on the Hollis - Pepperell line. It has excellent fruit selection - you can pick your own raspberries. In the fall, it has a large selection of apples and pumpkins for pick your own. They also have a great garden of flowers that you can pick for bouquets.
This is a very small ski place but is great for the beginner especially children. They host a variety of lessons for all ages and levels and the classes are offered day and night. During the holiday, the ski place decorates with all sorts of lights and you can drive through to see them all. In the fall, they offer haunted houses.
Loon Mountain is a great place for family skiing. It has a nice variety of all levels of trails. The mountain is always well groomed and the snow is usually not icy. The lift lines are never too long except on the holidays where you could wait up to 20 minutes for the gondola.
This is a quaint small shop where the owner and staff do a very good job grooming pets. They provide a variety of services such as nail trims, shampoos and other grooming services. The place is small but clean and the staff is very pet friendly. The prices were very reasonable.
I found Rainbow Art and Framing and average framing shop. There work is just mediocre. I brought a picture in for framing and it took several weeks to get it framed (this wasn't during the holidays and was actually during a slow time). I found some minor flaws with the framing job that I fixed myself by opening up the back. I wouldn't mind but I paid decent money to get it framed.
