Yes, the setting is really cool with the jungle and trees. And it makes for a much more comfortable climate in the desert heat, but minature golf courses are supposed to be for family fun and the kids just will not be able to complete this course. We took the kids and they were so excited, but the price was really high and then the kids had such a hard time with most of the holes and people are waiting and that makes you really nervous. We ended up leaving half way through and the kids were really upset. The people gathered behind were all older and you could tell they were mad at us.
There are a couple of other great courses in town for families and they are a lot cheaper. This is probably great for 20 year olds on a date, but not for families.If your visiting LV with the kids, there are so many other places to enjoy, a lot that are free.
Outdoor Kitchens Concepts
When we were out driving, I ran across this place and stopped in to look for a new gas grill. I never bought one here because I haven't made my first million yet, but if you want some cool ideas and to see some of the most amazing outdoor barbeques this is the place. You can virtually have an entire kitchen outside with a sink, barbeque, refrigerator, etc. Of course it costs as much as a full kitchen, but this would be so cool. Some have seperate workstations and they will do all the designing for you and even come out to test it after it is installed.(and to teach you how to use all this new stuff). You really have to spend an afternoon here and check this out.Now I know why women like to window shop. I will be going back here again.
Fatali Sacred Earth Images
I think the photographer owns the gallery. My wife can spend hours here and we would have these pictures all over the house if we could afford it. They are fantastic. Mostly of southwest scenery, but they aren't like anything you have ever seen before. You really have to visit this shop. One of my favorites is this old indian on his horse. As far as picture galleries go, I think this is the nicest in Vegas and it's probably the nicest store in Henderson. The prices are high however but you will find photos of the landscape in this area that will knock your socks off. The sunsets and lighting is great. I take alot of pictures, but none of them look like this.
The Sports Authority
For my son's birthday we purchased his baseball mitt here and we had the best service and selection. The guy helped me pick out a really good mitt, not one of those plastic crappy things you get at Walmart. This is a real leather glove. They really know alot about the stuff they are selling and if you are at all serous about sports, this is where you have to shop. Unlike alot of stores that just hire kids and don't train them, these people love sports and can answer questions about anything you are looking for. We get a lot of baseball equipment here and they carry just about anything you can imagine if it has to do with sports. A good selection of golfing and exercise machines. I personally think this is the best sporting goods store in town. It is out in the shopping center in Henderson, plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of.
Woody's World
This place has every baseball card you can think of. Also a lot of baseball collectible items and some comic books. I have found a lot of cards to finish a couple of my series here that I couldn't find anywhere else even on the web.
Aherns Rentals
Would have given them 5 stars because of all the different tools you can rent here except of their treatment of my wife. Whenever I have her pick my up a tool here, she is always treated like a dimwit. They must not like women or think she doesn't know anything about tools. (They are wrong, she built our kitchen cabinets and is remodeling the family room). They do carry any kind of tool and tractor you can think of . They are also right on sunset which makes it hard to get to since it's always bumper to bumper traffic.
Silver Creek Family Dental
I only went here once when my regular dentist couldn't get me in, but Dr. Hargrave was extremely good and I didn't have too much pain during or after. I think they have payment plans if you don't have insurance. If I change dentists, this is where I'll go. I asked if I could see the same dentist the next time and they said yes. So even though there are several dentists in the building, you can just go to the one you want. They also took care of my insurance papers.
Craig Road Animal Hospital
This is our vet and the dogs and the cat love him. They also have kennels that we have used several times when we go on vacation. The animals are extremely well cared for and the kennels are very very clean.We've had all the dogs neutered here and were able to bring them home that day. When we had a question or concern, we called and they were helpful even in the middle of the night, they called back. We will not go anywhere else for our pets.
Fitness 19
$9 a month with no contract. My wife and I signed up a year ago just for the free daycare. Pretend to be working out 3 nights a week and you have a really cheap babysitter. Seriously, they have all the modern equipment and fitness trainers are available anytime you need them. Clean friendly facility with no contracts. You can't beat it. I personally have lost 10 lbs since we started going. Before Fitness 19 I never joined a gym because you get stuck in those lifelong contracts you can't ever get out of without ruining your credit. It can get busy, especially between 7 and 8 at night . If you can go during the daytime it is relatively quiet and you can get the machine you want. Also, the trainers aren't busy and can spend more time with you. Weekends are crazy too.
EZPAWN
Lots of tools and electronics are in pawn plus. I buy all my small tools here. The prices are great and the guys can always tell you where to look. If you need something try here first. A lot of people pawn good stuff when they get in trouble gambling, so I think Vegas has the best pawn shops.Pawn Plus is one of the largest and the staff here is super nice. I have never pawned here but I definitely shop here. I got my dewalt drill and power saw here. I would never have been able to afford them new and they last forever. I saved around $200 bucks. Really large shop with lots of parking in a decent area of town (most of the pawn shops are in bad areas, this is about the only one that's not) so you don't mind leaving your car or truck out here.
