I've been a member of PEAC for about a year now, and haven't been disappointed yet. It is a bit more expensive than other gyms in the area, but they do offer corporate memberships which bring the price down a little bit. The only disadvantage is that the cardio machines are lined up a bit too close, so if you're claustrophobic, watch out! The staff are very nice and do walk around to make sure that everyone is okay. If you want to pay a bit more, you can get a personal trainer or consultation, which is definitely worth it if you're not sure which excercise program is the best fit for you. The other drawback is that tennis and basketball is an exra fee and they don't have a pool.
Doral Forrestal Conference Ctr
I've been to the Doral Forrestal Hotel for many conferences, and have always been impressed by all of their facilities. The rooms are spaceous and clean and offer many ammenities. The staff is willing to help with anything you need and are very knowledgeable about things to do in the surrounding area. The food is really good and reasonably priced. I've never tried their spa facilitiy first-hand, but have heard great things about it. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area for a few days.
Schnall Stanley J Md - Dermatology Associates
It's hard to find a good dermatologist, and Dr. Schnall definitely is one. But, be warned - it's really difficult to get an appointment and virtually impossible to get one on short notice. Also, the staff are always busy and sometimes can get quite rude, especially if you ask them too many questions. Even if you get to your apointment on time, you still end up waiting for what seems like forever, and then you get to see the doctor for what seems like two minutes. However, it's still worth coming here, since Dr.Schnall has a charming bedside manner and really knows his stuff.
Pearl Paint Company Incorporated
Pearl Art stores are really great for their selection; the store is huge and offers everything you could possibly imagine for art- and craft-work. The best deals within the store are to buy their brand name products, the quality is great and you can't really tell the difference between them and the brand name products. I would also suggest to try to buy things only when on sale, since they are a self-proclaimed discount shop, it's still expensive. However, you can always count on them to have what you want.
Susan Greene Handbags & Jeweley
Susan Greene offers a variety of handbags, jewelry, and accessories. If you're looking for the high-priced brand name products, they won't be available here, but the selection is still high quality. It's a small shop, so I would suggest going during the week when it's less crowded. I've been going here forever, and it seems like the staff remains the same - they're still very helpful and extremely friendly. Their selection changes quite often so you really never see the same merchandise twice. I definitely would recommend coming here if you need a quick gift for a special friend, you won't come out empty handed!
Lee French Dry Cleaning
I've never had a bad experience here. They seem to magically get out impossible stains and always have my clothes ready on time. They used to accept competitor's coupons, but I'm not sure if this is the case anymore. I know there are tons of places to choose from in the area, but like I said, I've never been disappointed here, so I would highly recommend it.
Creative Canvases Needlepoint
This shop has an impressive selection of needlepoint and other accessories. I've found that there is a lack of places in the area that offer quality goods, so this is definitely the place to go. The staff are experts in their field and they used to teach classes, but I'm not sure if they still do. Expect to pay a little above average, but it's worth it for the experience and wonderful treatment you'll get here.
Pet Paradise
Pet paradise is a very large store that offers everything for the animal lover. It is easy to spend tons of time here, so beware! Puppies are out in the center of one room and are very enticing to play with. This place can get extremely busy, especially during weekends, so I suggest to get there during the week. They usually have good sales on products that beat out the "chain" store prices.
Gary Michaels Fine Jewelry
Having researched many stores that carried a particular bracelet I was interested in buying, I decided upon Gary Michaels to purchase it. Although relatively new to the area, I figured that I would give the store a chance, since it's conveniently located near my home. I noticed immediately that the staff were very aloof and not very interested in helping any of the potential customers in the store. Finally, I approached someone about the bracelet I wanted, and ended up purchasing it. If you're looking for good deals, this isn't the place, but what ended up happening was that the bracelet broke within a week of wearing it. I went to back to the store to return it, and after a long argument and accusations of it being my fault, they finally agreed to take it back. So, needless to say, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Marlboro Animal Hospital
Having been around a long time, this place is a testament to animal hospitals everywhere. I've brought numerous pets there over the years and have never once been disappointed. The atmosphere is really friendly and my dogs have always loved going there. The vets are extremely caring and they'll explain everything in terms you can understand, unlike other vets I've been to.
