Fishs Eddy Inc

Located on the upper west side, this store carries vintage but new glassware ranging from dinner plates to utensils. You'll find quirky designs from days gone by, and plenty of odd items now and then. It is a bit pricey but it is always fun to browse and usually hard to walk out without making a purchase.

Mxyplyzyk Inc

Pronounced as Mix-ee-pliz-ik, named after a character from Superman comics, this is a good place to find quirky gifts for one and all. Also it is a very fun place to browse around. The only downside is that it is pricey.

Pearl River Mart

Located in Soho, this big retail store carries goods from China and Japan. From Pocky and Pucca chocolate snacks, to fancy lamps, herbal aids, novelty gifts, kitchenware, tea, condiments, and traditional Chinese silk robes. You'll find everything here. The price is reasonable and they do have a return policy. The store is always packed with customers but they have two cashier counters so there is hardly any waiting time.

Fairway Market

The upper level has organic food, produce, and groceries. The lower level carries excellent high quality cheeses, oils, vinegars, produce, meat, groceries, and more! It can get very crowded here, but the food is worth the elbow bruising. The prices are a tad high compared to other grocery stores, but if you only get non-mass-marketed items here, it's worth it.

Myers Of Keswick

Cadbury's chocolates, Cadbury's drinking chocolate powder, Hob Nobs, Nestle chocolates, Walker's wafers (chips), and more! Everything people from the UK, Australia, and India crave can be found here. The prices are very reasonable for imported goods, and the staff is very nice.

Chelsea Market

If you like cooking then you must visit Chelsea Market. You'll find amazingly good quality gourmet foods, fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and even cheap flowers! It's an one stop shop destination for everything food related. Even Food TV is located here!

Strand Book Store Inc

If there is a hard to find and out of print book on your wishlist, chances are that you will find it here. If you have no particular book in mind, then after browsing here for a while you're sure to have a big long list of books you want to buy. They have a great selection of used and hard to find books. Prices can be reasonable, depending on how badly you want the book.

Art Of Cooking

This place is slightly pricey, but their everchanging selection is fun to browse. If you like cooking, it is easy to spend of a lot of time here looking at everything, thinking about what to purchase. It also makes a fine gift store for any chefs you know.

Chelsea Wine Vault

Located inside Chelsea Market, it is convieniently located during a shopping trip here. Pick up a bottle to match the rest of the ingredients you just purchased. They have a nice selection from around the world and the staff is fairly helpful.

Located inside Chelsea Market, this butcher's shop this convieniently located for a shopping trip here. From chicken sausages, to great rack of lamb, you'll get it here.
