City Of Cleveland Cleveland Municipal Court

We had some appointments scheduled downtown at the Municipal Court building and cringed when we heard it was there. I've been there many times and I can tell you that the employees there couldn't care if you were standing in from of them.

First of all you have parking (which is costly and hard to find during the week) and then you have to deal with the county employee's there. Once we get to our appointment destination, we're away from those things and it is much better but if you can have your appointments some other place - do it.

Avon Laundry & Dry Cleaning

There are many dry cleaners around. I forgot about Avon Laundry & Dry Cleaning and I don't know why. I've had nothing but great experiences with them.

They have been around for over 45 years, and I'm sure they will be around for many, many years to come. They know how to treat a customer - with respect and making them feel like they are appreciated. Now that's my kind of cleaner or business in general.

They do a fantastic job cleaning and altering clothes. And you'll love their prices. They are very quick getting your items back to you. You will be happy as they offer discounts as well. In fact, I found a 20% off coupon on their website for you.

Cleveland Shop

I've done a review about Chelsea's Costume's before but this one is clearly the best costume shop in Cleveland. Some believe it's the best store in the USA.

They have been in business 25 years! We're sure thankful they are around. This store is mainly recognized for their costume rentals - which are superb. We have rented there in the past. They also have an impressionable collection of vintage wear for sale. They have clients that are in Hollywood, California including celebrities. There clothes are clean and well organized for men and women. Their prices are fantastic - not pricey at all. Our daughters love to shop in this store.

Chelsea's Costumes

Cleveland is blessed by having so many different costume shops around town. You could spend all day looking and have a good time.

Chelsea's is across the street from The Cleveland Shop - which is another costume shop. Chelsea's is pretty neat. They have many rows of vintage clothing which my wife enjoys browsing.

This is a great place to go for those Halloween Party rounds. They have a great selection of formal wear, vintage clothing, funny wigs, and costume supplies. They do have the shop set up nicely having the clothing categorized by type, color and era.

Volk's Jewelry

It's hard to choose when you live a big city like Cleveland, what jewelry store to go to. They are peppered all through the city and some are more reputable than others of course.

Volk's is a full service pawn shop and jewelry store. They have been around since 1899 so you know they must be doing something right. They are also a member of the Better Business Bureau.

We went there because they are a dual service jewelry store. You can find some nice items in the pawn section as well as in the store. We were looking for a nice gold chain and found a very nice selection here. Their service is wonderful and prices are comparable to other jewelers. However, other jewelers sometimes don't care about you after you've paid for the item.

They carry a complete line of diamond wedding rings, ladies and mens rings, earrings, pendants, large selection of gold chains, charms, bracelets, as well as new Pulsar and Seiko watches and so much more.

Parma Hobby

Parma Hobby is a one-stop hobby shop which is lucky for us to be located here in northeast Ohio. There is no need to travel to other hobby shops when you can find whatever you need here.

Our son loves to visit this shop because of the wide selection of items they have from radio controlled cars, airplanes and more. They carry books, tools, puzzles, paints, magazines and do much more.

Our son loves all the model kits they have. I love to browse all of the trains that they carry as well. You can get all the items you need for the pine derby as well. The slot cars are great too. It's where a grown man can feel like a kid again. You can find whatever you're looking for her. It's fun just to browse the store.

B & B Appliance Co

When someone is out shopping for any appliances now-a-days, you will probably think of Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, HH Gregg, or others. I bet you won't think of B & B Appliance and you should.

Granted, they won't have as many models in stock like the big chains above, but you should be happy with the selection. It's a good idea to check with B & B when you're out comparing models and prices for your best deal. They used to offer a discount for cash purchases and I guess they still do. They stand behind their product well and the store is professionally run always. We have purchased many items from them over the years and have always been happy with our purchases and their store.

Lucy's Sweet Surrender

You not only can't go wrong - you'll wonder why you haven't made it to this bakery before! Approaching Lucy's Sweet Surrender - you surrender to the very aromatic smells that you nose is drying to smell more of.

Our initial visit was to look for party trays for a party we were throwing for someone. We found some great trays at decent prices. They have so many and all are wonderfully prepared and so tasty.

One of them was very popular at the party and that was the Old World Style try. It consisted of items like their delicious Strudels, Poppy Roll, Nut Rolls, and cream cheese pastry, chocolate cookies, Szorbo's and something else which I have forgotten. Another item that was very well liked was their delicious Rum Cake. Actually we picked up many items for the party and they were all a hit.

One of my favorites is the Chocolate Mousse Torte. It is a 3 layered chocolate cake filled with tasty chocolate mousse, with chocolate curls and fruit brandy and more. I think it serves about 10 people or more but that depends if I will let them have any.
