Spring Chicken Kids Consignment Sale
Get everything you need for baby or child under one roof. The Spring Chicken Kids Consignment Sale is held for two days in the Spring and Fall in Havertown PA at the Union Methodist Church on Brookline Blvd. They have a great selection-of good quality second hand children's items at bargain prices. They have a ton of kids clothing, hung and neatly arranged, as well as good condition baby items like strollers, exersaucers, etc. It's a pleasure to get all your seasonal kids shopping out of the way at one time at one place without spending a fortune. Flowers by Petals
I used this florist for my wedding. Unfortunately, I had a very small flower budget. Other shops that I went to just laughed or said they couldn't help me. This shop gave me several choices within my budget. They were courteous and kind and won my business for life. Plus, on my wedding day, they threw in some extra, more expensive flowers as a gift! What an unusually kind gesture!
Bernie Haughey
We have had Bernie as our insurance agent for over 10 years and he has been able to help us in good times and bad. His office is affiliated with State Farm. He helped us when we had a car accident: getting through all the paperwork, keeping our premiums from going up and more. He is always quick to respond to phone calls. I trust him, and trust is hard to find in this business!
Dr. Gary Kirshner
Dr. Kirshner is an optometrist at the American Vision center store in the King of Prussia Mall. He is quick and efficient in his exams and always willing to spend more time with you at no extra charge if you have trouble with your new prescription. Very friendly doctor who sets you at ease in the doctor's chair. Appointments are easy to get and you often only need to call a couple days ahead.
Kathryn Hennessey DO
I went to Dr. Hennessey for years when I lived nearby. She is a very thorough doctor who always takes extra time with her patients, a rarity in these days of managed care. Every time she sees you she not only looks at the problem you are there for,but asks you questions about your general health, thus doing some "preventative" medicine. She 's a real find!
Albrecht's Garden Center
Albrecht's garden center has it all: a wide selection of plants and trees, gardening supplies and garden hardware. Plus, they have the know ho and the helpful attitude to make timid gardeners flourish. They have always been extra helpful every time I have been in. Prices are reasonable, service is great.
TMB Home Improvements and Painting
I called TMB Home Improvements on the recommendation of a friend who knows the proprietor socially. I had several handyman type jobs that needed doing- 3 small jobs that would take the better part of a day. He gave me a reasonable price and a reasonable time frame to have the work completed. The problem was that I had a problem with the work after it was completed. he said repeatedly that he would come back and correct his mistakes, and now several months later, I'm still waiting.
The Little Gym
The Little Gym offers exercise and gymnastic instruction from babies on up. Their facility is beautiful and state of the art. They have clean, properly installed equipment that is bright and cheerful. Their staff is enthusiastic. I really wanted to send my kids to classes there, and then I got the sticker shock..it is really a hefty price tag! If you can afford it, it is probably the nicest place around for gym instruction.
Doctor's Urgent Care
I went to Doctor's urgent Care with my sister over Christmas when she was in town visiting and needed to take one of her kids to the doctor. It wasn't serious enough for the emergency room, and my pediatrician wasn't willing to go through the hassle of the insurance. The Doctor's urgent care office was great. We were able to walk in and be seen immediately, insurance wasn't a hassle at all there.
Piskai Thomas P Dds
Dr. Piskai is the talkiest dentist I have ever been to. He keeps up a steady stream of conversation while you are in the chair, which helps you to keep your mind off all the probing that is going on in your mouth. he is always sure to explain a procedure before he starts. I am happy with his dental skills and was his patient for several years.
