The Samaritan Counseling center is a quiet and calm counseling center that offers a variety of faith based counseling services: marriage, family, personal and career counseling. The counselors are relaxed and caring. It is a good place to go if you are in need.
I have been a customer of Hub tire for years. Don't let their dirty appearance fool you, they will take good care of your car. The building and the way that it is kept leaves something to be desired, but the quality of care can't be beat. I've had oil changes and car repair done here and have always been satisfied with the quality and speed.
I am disappointed with my experience with Fay Auto repair. I went in a couple weeks ago to ask what the process was to have my car inspected. They were friendly and told me that I should just bring my car over on any midweek day (not Mon. or Friday) and they could have it done and back to me quickly. The price they quoted was a little high, but I decided to give them a try. I took my car over on a Tuesday. They were unable to even look at my car all day long. So, that was the end of it for me with this business. I'll go somewhere else.
I had the gutter people out today to clean my gutters. They were fast and professional. The lag time between call and appointment was only a few days. They had all the gutters cleaned within a half an hour. Price wise they were median of all the places I called. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Shogun 3 has three separate dining areas inside, depending on what type of Asian food you are in the mood for. My favorite is the table side Hibachi grill where the cooking is entertaining and the food is delicious. They also have a sushi bar and a Chinese restaurant. The food is good, and typically priced for Asian food in the area. Definitely worth a try.
There are two options at the Terrace restaurant and the family restaurant on the grounds of the WIllow Valley Resort: you can go for the all-you-can-eat or order off the menu. The smorgasbord runs about $19 a person, so come hungry, they have a wide variety of options, but nothing stands out as overly great. The off the menu food, however is the better option in my opinion. We recently had the stuffed pepper and hot wings and both were outstanding. Service is also good.
Willow Valley Resort is a wonderful place to take a family. The complex is huge and includes over 300 rooms of various price points, a restaurant, a coffee shop, game rooms and 2 pools. The one pool has an indoor water playground that my 2 year old was beside himself with excitement about going in! Outdoors they have a duck pond and playground. You can enjoy days at this place without even leaving the grounds, not to mention that there are many Lancaster attractions nearby. Definitely try it!
I played raquetball regularly at Kinetix. They have two courts which are kept nicely and there is usually no wait. The nice thing about playing at Kinetix is that they do not require you to join the health club in order to play there. You just need to pay an extra fee per visit, which is reasonable. You can call ahead to see if the courts are free and members get preference.
We had a family vacation at the Plim Plaza in Ocean City MD and the experience was gross. The rooms were poky and smelled like smoke. One family member paid for a ocean view room and the window was about a foot in diameter. The only nice thing was the pool. The lobbies were crowded and outdated and the staff weren't particularly helpful. Stay away!
If you are under the age of 17 you will think Roosevelt Mall is really cool, if not, you will want to skip it. Roosevelt Mall is an open air mall in the Northeast and the only game in town as far as malls go in that section of the city. Most times the mall is overrun with teenagers crusing or hanging out and smoking. There are a coupole of good stores, the large anchor store is Strawbridge's. Good to go there in a shopping emergency, otherwise, don't bother.
