I did not realize how incredibly important it is to have your air ducts cleaned. I had a friend who used the Mad Hatter Air Duct Cleaning service, so we gave them a call. They came out and gave us an estimate, not a bad price for something that you only have done once in a blue moon. Our house is approaching 20 years old, and the technician pulled one of the vents off, and showed us there was about 4 inches of black goop that shouldn't be there, gross!! They got it all cleaned out and we are good to go for awhile. The tech explained how unhealthy all that goop was, and I must say it did not look healthy.
I am a stay at home mom, so I am forever cleaning the house to make it presentable. For my birthday this year, my mom hired Maid For a Day to come and clean my house. It was just for the day but I LOVED it. I was actually able to do some running around and spend more time with my daughter, and not have to worry about cleaning. She also did a great job, she even dusted the tops of the door frames, I am sure they were dusty, I don't think I have ever done that.
last year on our anniversary we used Front Row Limo services for a night out on the town. It was great, I had never ridden in a limo before, but we were treated first class all the way. The driver got out and got our doors for us, they had a wide variety of drinks for us to enjoy. The driver also had a great since of humor, he was very entertaining. And we had him drive us to a few places, he knew the area very well.
We built a house and hired the Turf Guys to seed and straw our yard for us. They put the seed down and left a note that we needed to water the straw. They laid the straw at night on a windy night, and by the time we actually got to water the next day, most of the straw was gone. They said they would come re straw for an additional fee. And when we finally did get some grass, in some areas it was very thick, and in others no grass at all.
Neither one of us are very talented at landscaping, so we hired Pets Plus Water Gardens to put in a little fish pond in our backyard. They did a great job, they left us with step by step instructions to care for the pond, no problems yet. They gave us a number to call if we had any problems. The pond itself looks great, they did not tear up our yard at all. It is exactly what we wanted.
We like to take a vacation once a year or so, and most of the time we take our dog with us. This time we were flying so we opted to leave our dog at Twin Rivers Kennel. At the time our dog just had surgery on her leg, and needed special care, the Kennel was very helpful in caring for our dog. And we checked the Kennel out before leaving our dog there, and it seemed rather homey. I would recommend this place to anyone.
We have a finished basement so we for sure do not want our foundation to leak, that could cause major problems. We called Basement Technologies because we spotted a crack in our laundryroom wall, no water just a crack. They came out to give us an estimate, and explained that it more than likely would not leak, we believed them but did not want to take the chance, so we had them repair it with the Epoxy stuff. They did a great job on the crack, and no more worries for us for now.
We had Control Line INC, come out and do some water pressure cleaning for us on our vinyl siding. Our siding is a few years old, so it was pretty dirty, and we did not want to go buy a pressure washer for 100's of dollars for a 1 time job. Control line came out and cleaned our siding, it looked spic and span like new. The next week a piece of our siding fell off, not sure if it was from the pressure washing, we did not call them, because it was something my husband could fix.
We have a great vacuum cleaner that was just a few years old, paid a lot of money for it, so when it starting acting up we didn't want to just throw it away. We took it in to the Vacuum Shop and poof they fixed it, at a good price. They also explained to us how to care for it, so we would not have this same problem in the future.
We have had some bad experiences in the past with vets. We just had moved and our dog had something that was making her paw swell. We took her in, they did a biopsy, gave her some pain medicine. Explained the whole procedure in depth to us, so we could weigh our options. She ended up dying, but they helped to make her life a lot more tolerable while she was still here.
