What a fun store! Banbury Fair seems like it's been around Bartlett practically forever. From the antique market in the barn behind the building to the pretty handcrafted items in the main house, you can find a gift item for just about anyone there.
Prices are comparable to the same type items in other locations. The proprieters are active in the community. I've seen their sponsorships on several township events and activities. The store also offers classes in many of the crafts, and childrens' birthday parties.
They recently enlarged the main building, and it looks just beautiful.
My best advice when visiting Cigarettes Cheaper: check the drug stores first. While I've found very good deals at Cigarettes Cheaper, I've also found that the Walgreens or CVS right down the road will charge even less for cigarettes when they're on sale. If you're going to the drug store anyway, picking up their sale smokes may save you a stop, and money at the same time.
One nice thing about this store is it's smoker-friendly. So few places are nowadays. I've found the staff by turns to be downright rude and extremely friendly and accomodating. It all depends on who's behind the counter.
Pier 1 is a great place to pick up decorative items with an exotic flair. Featuring items from all over the world, most of their small accessories are very reasonably priced.
Furniture items can be quite pricey, and I don't generally buy furninture from them, but particularly around the holidays Pier 1 is a must-see store. Their decorations and ornaments are unique, but reasonably priced.
This particular Pier 1 has been very quiet, even at the height of the holiday season. Maybe I just lucked out and arrived during off-hours, but it was nice to have the individualized attention.
People with allergies beware, these stores tend to smell heavily like incense.
Although the name on the door says "Music Recyclery," I've done most of my trading in DVDs. I've found them pretty fair, in comparison to other stores that resell.
Lately, they've dropped their cash policy and are only offering trade credit. Their trade policy is a bit strict, but nothing out of line. I've traded in several dozen DVDs in the last year and have not been disappointed.
Quick, friendly car detailing service. It was easy to set up and change my appointment when I needed to. The car was done earlier than I expected - a happy surprise.
After shopping around, I found their prices to be a bit on the high side of average, but it was well worth it for the job they did. For me, they're very conveniently located.
Ritzy's is very conveniently located for me, so I was expecting to be a regular here. The prices are good, and I've been several times. I enjoyed the restaurant at first.
Unfortunately, they've gone downhill in quality and service in the last couple of years. The food that was once good or at least acceptable is now disappointing. The service has been lackluster, and for the price, I could go a little further down the road to get a better meal with friendlier faces.
I hope Ritzy's builds back up again soon. I want to like it, but right now, there's not much to recomend it.
The name of the business appears to be misspelled... I know this restaurant as the "Egglectic Cafe." I've been several times, and have yet to be disappointed.
They carry mostly breakfast food, but there are lunch items as well, in a pretty atmosphere with courteous staff. They're always willing to make substitutions or adjustments to the menu, and the food is consistently good.
I like this Arby's because it's convenient to where I work, and because Arby's has consistently good food, wherever you are. Their deli sandwiches are fresh, and their food is consistently high-quality.
This particular Arby's usually has fast service, the food is fresh-cooked (or assembled), and the staff is courteous. It's fast food, but it's fast food with good service.
The most attractive thing about Healthcare Associates of Streamwood is that they house a medical and dental office in the same space. The husband-and-wife team of the Drs. Patari offer warm, caring medical and dental services.
Their medical reception staff is a bit standoffish, but they do make the extra effort to get you into the office when you need to be seen. This is more true of the medical side than the dental, but both try to be accomodating. The dental staff and nurses are warm and friendly.
Unfortunately, with so many last-minute appointments, waiting room times can be quite long. They do offer some Saturday hours, but there's no evening appointments available. Another disadvantage is that the doctors can be hard to understand, and it may take asking them to repeat themselves a couple of times.
I've been to VNails several times, on the recommendation of a friend. I've found the service to be courteous and friendly, the waits short, and the treatment (nails and eyebrows) to be good-quality.
There's a slight problem with understanding the accents, but the family that run the shop are very patient if they need to repeat themselves.
