What a lovely place. As a busy parent, spending time for a movie and then dinner is out of the question. But dinner AT the movies is incredible!
The place is gorgeous, clean and well decorated. Warm and cozy. The service is lovely. The food is DIVINE - gourmet!!
The stuffed brie a l'orange is to die for.
Movie was fun too :)
Comfy chairs - all around a wonderful experience!
PROS: great food, great service
My daughter attended from grades 3-6 and now my second daughter is in kindergarten at Indian Bend. The positives are that the staff and teachers are just excellent. Good communication, genuinely friendly and caring. The school is well kept, the office staff organized, the programs seem to really be geared toward helping us raise healthy, happy, smart kids.
The only negatives at this point are - not so hot playground equipment . They really do need more for the children. There is also no walking path from the park enterance off 37th place to the school, and the grass is always wet, so now we have to go all the way around and through the basketball court adding alot of time to our morning walk to school.
The second con would be that I believe the school is catering way too much to the non -English speaking community. Announcements and parent programming is done in English and then in spanish which I p ersonally do not agree with and think that we are in America and therefore English should be spoken.
Otherwise we've had nothing but good experiences at Indian Bend
I've lived in the valley for about 14 years now and have shopped all the local supermarkets. Fryes is the ONLY store we shop now. They are consistent with their products and prices. The local staff seems to have a low turnover which means to me that the employees are satisfied too! We have gotten to know our fryes folks and like them. They are very helpful and fast too. The only negative I'd say is the pharmacy which has some issues, but all in all we've had no major problems with Fryes in the last ten years and do all of our shopping with them.
Prova Salon is a really wonderful high end salon and spa. The place itself is really pretty and comfortable and I think everyone enjoys feeling special - being offered coffee or a soda. The staff is very professional and courteous and I've had three different stylists and all gave me excellent, unique and really well done hair cuts. A basic cut is $40 which really is reasonable in todays market, color and perms and stuff of course are more but I think totally worth it.
I highly recommend Prova if you want a great hair cut.
We've ordered pizza and wings in from Sardellas for delivery and also eaten on site. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. They have free drink refills and the pizza is really well made (and fun to watch them make it too). They offer a few salads, wings and several different sales for the different days of the week. They also have a "sizzling summer special" where a large cheese pizza is only $6 and ya can't beat that!
We've been seeing the Doctors and hygienists at Warren Family Dentistry for about a year now and have been really pleased with our services there. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. The accountant/financial staff is great in helping us to get a dental no interest loan to help pay for services as well. The office is neat, clean and comfortable. The dentists have been great for our childrens visits (ages 2 and 5) as well as the teen and our adult visits. They have little prizes for the kids and of course new toothbrush/paste. We've done everything from cleanings to emergency visits and they've always been nothing short of super professional and great.
I highly recommend this office for your dental care needs.
I enjoy Other Mothers as an option for my kids clothing as they go through sizes so quickly and sometimes it makes no sense to buy brand new items. I bring in my gently pre-owned clothing and can get trade credit or (at a lower percentage) cash. They are fair in their dealings tho lately I am finding they tend to take less from me. Nothing stained or ripped of course, but lately they're even being a bit picky about "styles" of clothing they'll accept.
Generally they have a large selection of baby and childrens books, movies, toys and clothing and a nice selection of maternity as well. I wish they had more nursing wear but I guess they can only sell what is brought in.
The staff is friendly, helpful and they are fairly quick in their assessment of what items they'll accept. They also offer to donate whatever they don't take to Goodwill which is nice.
