If you are planning to move into the Federal Way area, enroll your child into Mark Twain! I have two children currently attending the school and can tell you that the school is great and always improving. The fields are enormous, including swings, six basketball hoops, tetherball, and a bigtoy. It has undergone a number of renovations in the last few years and looks great! All brick, and outdoors, including covered walkways and a center courtyard for outdoor lunch eating. The gym is carpeted and clean as well! As far as education is concerned, the school employs a rigorous SFA reading program and math program which is perfect for children with difficulty reading!
PROS: Clean, and a Great Teaching Staff!
CONS: None. It's a great school!
I prefer this location over all others for a number of reasons. The first being its locality. Ace Hardware is located very near Safeway, restaraunts and a number of banks to boot. The Seatac mall is just a few minutes down 99 which makes this location even more useful. As far as the store goes, it is new, clean and has nearly every hardware product you could imagine. A keymaker is even situated in the back with custom key designs and so on. The workers are friendly and there are always great offers. While the store is small (only two cashiers) they offer a wide variety of outdoor plants and gardening material!
PROS: Convenient, clean, and chock full of products!
CONS: Smaller than some store locations.
While Supercuts has never been the cheapest haircut location, it is not overly expensive and offers well-trained and experienced barbers! I have personally been going to this location for at least a year now and I can say that they have never let me down! No stylists are rude, the store stays clean, and there are a plethora of magazines, books, and products available at this location in particular. I have never had to wait for longer than 45 minutes, and making reservations has never really been necessary!
PROS: Clean, cheap(er), and experienced!
The store is located within the Seatac Mall in Federal Way, directly across from the foodcourt and therefore offers an extremely convenient location! I personally know two of the cashiers and can tell you that they are friendly and honest! Prices are normal, and even though the store is rather small in size, it offers heaps of used games as well as new titles and consoles. There are a number of displays and the only con is actually the fact that the store can be fairly overcrowded on busy days due to it's smaller than normal EB games size. I would recommend this location over others based on it's location and convenience!
PROS: Well located, friendly, clean and organized
CONS: Rather Small
If you live in Federal Way and are not willing to hand out nearly $20 for two movie tickets I strongly suggest you go to Starplex cinemas! While the movie theater is smaller than the Supermall theater and shows less movies, it costs quite a bit less in movie ticket terms. Other pros include the fact that it is the closest theater to the Commons in Federal Way (Seatac Mall) AND actually uses real butter for their popcorn, which may not be important to you, but really makes their popcorn quite a bit more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the arm rests are held into place which makes walking between isles more difficult, as well as actually getting close to the person you are seeing the movie with.
Overall, a cheap clean and local theater is what Starplex Cinemas has to offer! Definately worth the save on gas!
PROS: Cheap and local.
CONS: Arm wrests are stationary.
Honestly, I am no fan of stores such as Goodwill and Value Village and for some reason, the Dollar Tree came across as a similar store.
One day last week, my daughter and son (4 and 5) both had a dollar and wanted to spend them on something. I finally caved in and took them to the Dollar Tree Store.
To the contrary, I found it to be absolutely the opposite! Products were organized on shelves, the store was clean and obviously cheap. In fact, as far as dollar stores go, this store was amazing! The kids had a blast, as they could afford nearly everything. Toys, food, and so many other things can be found for...a dollar! Fellow customers were kind, and looked respectable and the cashiers were equally as kind. If you are a fan of Dollar Stores or have a few bucks and some free time, I recommend this store like no other. Good shopping to ya!
PROS: Clean, organized and cheap.
CONS: Still just a Dollar Store.
