I Nails
Ask for Cathy for your waxing needs. She was quick and virtually painless. The parking was free and plentiful, the prices were cheap and the staff was very nice!
U Take The Cake
I chose U Take The Cake since a friend recommended them and I was blown away by the end result! I simply gave her a rough drawing I skecthed and she designed the cake to the T! It served 50 people and was only $70!
World Caravan
This store has a great selection of furniture and rugs from all over the world. My favorites are the old Indian doors! Amazing armoires and authentic Persian rugs are all for sale here in the cozy district.
It's A Wrap Production
What an interesting concept, movie sets drop their production clothes here and they sell it to us! The only place you can buy the scuba wetsuits used in Baywatch or a belt from the Lone Ranger!
Hampar's Shoe Repair
This shoe repair shop is a bit dirty but they get the job done. They were fairly priced and finished my boot in 2 days, a bit longer than I had expected.
Saint Johns Hospital
My good friend gave birth to twins at St. John's and her recovery room was amazing! They recently updated this wing and all rooms are private with a 50inch flat screen tv and a bed for dad's!
Gift Time
I had purchased a $5 silver orament and they charged me $40 to have it engraved. They did a great job and were quite prompt (3 hrs) but was on the expensive side.
Century Press
Lyle at Century Press knows his stuff. He will get you a very decent price for your printing needs. From letterhead to business cards to invitation, he is the cheapest in town. Their service is fast and very reliable.
Lovely Nails
They accept walk-ins and are very quick. I was in and out in 30 min. and I had a french manicure done on both my hands and my toes. They were a liitle more expensive than my regular place but it was $23 for both.
A Bridal Designer Gown Rental
Men have been renting their tuxes for decades, why not women? Well, now you can! One Night Affair is the place to go. They have every dress you could ever dream up and all sectioned off by style for ease of finding "the one" Thier prices are very reasonable for what you get, for example I rented a St.Pucchi originally priced at $12,000 for $995!!! They overnighted it to my wedding location as well!
PROS: Incredible staff, Incredible selection
CONS: Had to steam dress after it was shipped
