Captain Jack's Candle Shop
Great place to go and see lots of candle designs. Take your whole family, they'll love it!! I can't think of anyone who does not like candles. They're great for gift giving or just for your self. If you have that person hard to buy for, then this is the place to shop! Awesome, just awesome!!
Candle Factory
This is an awesome place to stop in and visit. A great tourist attraction as well. My child visited this on a Field Trip for her school when in elementary school. It was a blast!! Of course I went along, and was glad that I did. It's great for all ages!!! The varieties are endless, and you can get some great ideas if you're into candle making yourself!!!
Waterloo Records & Video
This is one of the best places I've come across as far as finding that hard to find album, (yes I said vinyl). It helps knowing it is a locally based business with a helpful staff. Who doesn't like music, right? They do, that's for sure!!! I guess that why they stand out as one of the top notch record stores. Parking is another story, but I can deal with that.
Piranha Records
Find it here, if you're looking for something no one else seems to have. I found it!! Records, tapes, cd's, you name it, odds are, its here!! Located in the shopping Center near Gattisland, it's easy to find. I can browse for hours and it's alot of fun. From the "new" stuff to the "old" stuff, whatever tickles your fancy!!
Charlie's Steak House
Here is a place that has been around for years, (I can't tell you how long, because I will date myself!). It has the best food in town and I am not kidding. If you want down home cooking and the feeling of being in a friendly environment, then this is it!! The waitress's are the greatest, and will wait on you hand and foot, and love their job! I for one make it a point on going at least twice a month. I have not been disappointed yet!! And I don't think I will ever be for that matter.
Little Red Wagon Hamburgers
Here we have a little red building with a Great burger. It's easy to find, just look for the red barn. Burgers are out of this world!! They also serve breakfast as well. It's easy to get in or out of and the service is just wonderful. The people are friendly and professional. I give the burgers an A-plus!! Try it, you'll like it.
Mama Jacks Hamburgers
This is a Must for anyone who is a hamburger lover. I met my son for lunch there, (who eats there often) and I was highly impressed with the food, service and the employees. You are number one here. It is all about you and pleasing you! It is a small establishment with a big heart. Great job guys and hope you are around for a long, long time. Keep up the good work!!!
Salado Veterinary Hospital
A dog's best friend is the owner, right? Well, so is your pets Doctor! I found this veterinarian to be one of the best around Central Texas. Living in Salado was great, but finding this facility was greater. Here you have a family oriented clinic that cares about your pet. Shots, snake bites, or just a "not feeling well" puppy can rest assured they will be taken care of. The staff is friendly, caring and it is very professional! In my book that really matters!!! Especially when they know you and your pet by name.
Lynn C Hensley Law Office
After being laid off from my job, I called this establishment to see if I had any rights. I was employed for seven and a half years with this employer. I was told basically "NO", that an employer can fire, or lay off or let someone go for no reason. I couldn't believe that so I asked a few questions anyway. I was told however, that with a fee, they could check into it. I'm sorry, they already gave me my answer!! Advice is not "Free"! Think I'll shop around.
Belton Veterinary Clinic
This clinic is what it is all about! Animals can't tell us what's wrong, but they sure love us when all is said and done. I took my pet poodle, "Dutchess" to this wonderful clinic when she was suffering from Parvo, (a virus only animals can get). I was assured she would be taken care of, and she was. My only regret is that I took her too late! No one's fault I was assured at the time. I found the staff to be most gracious, and compassionate. When it was over, they cried along with me. It was a sad, but I learned that there are caring people who take their job seriously, as these wonderful people do!!!
